Yes, they set it up beautifully.  We had table #s, seashells, and candles for the tables (12 tables + our sweetheart table), and maracas for each chair that they setup.  We paid $60.  They had told us that the tables wouldn't be ready for decorating until our ceremony began, so the moms wouldn't have time to set it up themselves.  It was definitely worth the money.

Also, girls, I forgot to mention to be ultra careful in the sun so you don't have any tan lines or get burnt!  The sun in Mexico is no joke!  I ended up getting a base before I left to try to avoid burning and wore 30 everyday once I arrived.  I also only wore bandeau tops so I wouldn't have any lines!

Amanda - looks like a beautiful wedding!!!  Thanks so much for the detailed review.  What struck me the most is how much you enjoyed your entire week, not just the wedding day.  This is one of the big reasons we're doing a DW - it's a vacation, not just a wedding day.  Glad you loved every second of yours!

Congratulations Amanda! So glad to hear you had an amazing time, and took in every moment :) And good for you for not stressing over the minor issues and just going with the flow.

Can't wait to see the photos.

Such a great tip, thanks!  Congratulations, looks like it was a blast.  You said that you provided the list of songs to the DJ, did he have them all with him, did you get him the list prior to the wedding, and if so, how long in advance?  I will probably have a few Jewish elements in my wedding as well, music in particular, so would be nice to know if we should download to iPod ourselves?

Amanda, I have two quick questions for you... Did you have a choice between DJ All Music and Mega DJ from the Lomas website? The reason I ask is because there is a $500 difference between them!  Also, did you feel like you had enough lighting for your smores bonfire event?

Thanks so much! :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
