Azul Sensatori Brides - POST HERE!

Recommended Posts

Hi LauraandBrian! I don't think you're sending out your invites too early! I started the design process on mine today and likely I'll be mailing them in July for my February wedding.

I'm also trying to track down some decent plain canvas or white cotton totes and found discountmugs.com, orientaltrading.com and cheaptotes.com.  Hopefully these work as options for you; I am saddened that I can't order of these websites because either the crazy high shipping fee to Canada or that they don't ship to Canada period.  Let me know if you find anything else!

Hi Ladies... Its been a while since I have posted. I have sent out my formal invites this week... seems so early since my wedding is not until October but since all the rooms need to be booked by August 20th... I figured the guests will appreciate more time to decide/ book/ save money.... Has anyone had a guest book past the 45 day prior deadline? Did you find any issues with that?  Also I have been looking for tote bags for my welcome bags and was wondering if anyone had suggestions on website to try?  Can't believe its less then 5 months..
We had 3 guests book within 2 weeks of the wedding. They did not get the same group rate we had arranged ahead of time. In terms of adding people for the reception, cocktail party;, the WC 's were fantastic! They handled it with no problem. We just got charged the extra meals/costs after the fact. My only issue was adding extra OOT bags, and the small details. So I would suggest a RSVP 45 days in advance, but maybe buy 2-4 extra of items you want need. ( ie. extra tote bags, favors, welcome booklet/ letters, luggage tags, etc- whatever you're planning) And I think it's great to send out the invites early. Gives people time to plan and save for the trip. Funny enough I just got a bridal shower invite for this coming Saturday (ie. in 5 days). So not enough time to rearrange schedules, buy gifts, etc.....so more time the better I think!

Wow you ladies are wonderful!!! Thanks for the advice

tkuzma: I have been watching the postings on the "classifieds" looking for OOT bags as well.. you might want to check there... as it they are coming from another bride who has extras... shipping might be easier..

murmel: thanks so much!!! really appreciate the advice and reassurance...

dawndean: I am using Caribe... not only do they have afforfable prices but they are super flexible... when I went to AS for my "rehersal" visit I saw a wedding... Caribe was the photographer soo I kinda followed them around and they seemed to be super fun with the Bride and Groom as well as creative with their photos!! I def rec them.

We had 4 guests book 4 days before departure. They ended up arriving a day later because the flights were booked. There were really no issues other than the annoyance of changing meal quantities etc. with the coordinator. Other than that we anticipated them coming and prepared extra favours, seating cards etc. We left the seating chart last min anticipating something like this. But there were really no problems!

Hi,  This is my first post.....we got engaged March 31st while on vacation at the Azul Sensatori!!!  A complete surprise - but really, we have been together for almost 7 years now!  I've been on lots of all-inclusive trips but the AS blew me away and I'm trying to plan our wedding there for March/April 2013.  Waiting for my TA to get back to me about the group cost - I hope it works out!!

I've definitely been able to get lots of good ideas from all of you while reading through the posts the last few nights.  Does anyone have any advice on purchasing the wedding packages through Karisma (eg. pearl, silver, gold).  It seems like most of you put a lot off work into everything and I'm hoping to let the resort do most of that.  It is so beautiful there already and they do such a great job that I'm hoping I can allow them to do most of this for me.

Also,  we became vacation club members (Exotic Travelers) and I'm wondering if anyone else has any experience with this!  I know there are some definite perks included in the club that will come in handy when planning our wedding (eg. spa discounts, excursion discounts, etc...)

Hi.  I'm a few days after you.  I actually wanted your date but it was booked!  Guess you took itcheers.gif

Why did you pick Zocalo Alfresco?  Is that the same as the Zocalo Terrace?  Can we have dancing and loud music there?

Confused!  Thanks

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
