We also had a free cocktail hour. It was part of the free sweet wedding package and probably in the others as well. You might want to ask for the packages or download them from the website. It does include appetizers and a signature drink. We didn't get to eat anything but the guests said the food was delicious.

I am using a travel agent who works specifically with destination weddings. She is really great! Because she has done so many weddings with the Karisma hotels, the hotels offers her some perks that she passes along to her brides. That is where I got the Free Cocktail hour.

Actually, you're right, we got it because our travel agent was a registered GI consultant.

Several months back I started reading this thread from page 1 and now I'm at about 900- I wouldn't suggest doing what I did, but searching through some of the earlier pages will give you some great ideas about what past brides did/thought on their choices.

Welcome joan!!! Several weeks back my TA told me that the 2012 promotions were not out yet, and most likely wouldn't be yet for another month or two.

Hello there & welcome to the forum!!! Yes, you would have to pay the $800 fee to use Freza at the AS.

Thank you. I have contacted my agent and lets see if she can help us out! We are getting married at 5:30pm, and the reception doesn't start until 7pm, so I think a cocktail hour could be nice. The other thing we were thinking of doing was having all our guests go to a lounge to get drinks and mingle. Has anyone done this?

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010.       Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations.
