Indoor reception options:

1) Spoon- they section off an area within the restaurant with curtains. (maximum I think was about 60 people)

2) There are 2 ballrooms located in the main lobby building. Both are very plain hotel ballrooms. The one towards the front does have a lovely balcony where your guests can step out for fresh air (or a smoke) (both would handle up to a 100 guests or more)

3) Zoloco Terrace is a covered area- it is not actually indoors. It faces the ocean and they have very large blinds(?) which get lowered when it's super windy to help block the wind. Maximum is about 35-40 people.

4) the Italian restaurant has a small private function room. But I think the maximum is 12 people.

Thanks murmel! It's nice having you ladies here to help answer questions; response time from my WC's are soooo slow; guessing probably because I'm still 10 months out, so my wedding is not high priority, which is fair.

Here are two pictures from our reception at Zocallo Terrace.   We had a guest book table and photo booth on the entrance to the terrace.  We brought the lanterns, had picture frames with the table numbers and maracas on the tables.  We didn't bother with any centerpieces.  We just used our flowers from the ceremony on our table and the guest book table. There was another wedding on the day before ours, and they had a different set up.  They didn't cover the chairs and I think the tables were different.  I guess it all depends on how many people you will have and what you want it to look like.  We had 28 altogether.

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010.       Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations.
