Azul Sensatori Brides - POST HERE!

Recommended Posts

Hi ladies!

I haven't been on in a while, but I wanted to share our Passport Invitations.  They went out a few weeks ago and everyone loves them!  I have gotten so many compliments on them.  I can't believe 2012 is here - our wedding is on May 19th at Azul Sensatori.  Is anyone else getting married this week?  We have a huge group of approximately 80 people coming.  We reserved the entire row of Adult-Only Swim-Ups and more!

Those invite are gorgeous!!! I am hoping that you all can give me some advice. First off, my fiance and I have been together 14 years (since we were 16) and I never thought this day would come so I am almost intimidated and freaked out by it. We are not the traditional couple at all. We are only having roughly 15-20 guests at the wedding since we will be doing a big party at our house in May when the weather is nice in Chicago. Here are some questions that I have:

Did anyone get married at the Sky Deck? If so what were the costs associated with that and did you find it to be well worth it as opposed to the beach location?

Has anyone had their reception at Spoons? What are the menus like for that? Do you choose your own menu?

We are pretty sure we are going to hire Ivan Luckie (I am totally in love with his work) has anyone here had experience with him at this resort?

Thank you so much for any help and wisdom you can lend to me.

Eva

If you use the white sheers, they are free.....I don't know it that came with some sort of GI upgrade, can't quite recall, but know I argued with them on the resort for the 2 free white sheers and they agreed.

Hello!!

Can anyone possibly share their program for the ceremony? We are having a legal ceremony and a sand ceremony. I've asked my w/c about the order things happen and I haven't received an answer yet... I found some in previous posts but I can't open attachments!

Any help would be great!

Hi Sophoe, do you mean a script? I heard you can't change legal ceremonies... not sure if that's the case.

For all the ladies wondering about Ivan Luckie....I think the wait was worth it....just got my pics yesterday (wedding date Oct.24.11).  Here are some of my pics, and I have included a link to ALL of my pics he sent.

Hope this helps as lots of you have been asking about Ivan.

Melissa, what a beautiful day you had!  The pictures seem to capture the love and happiness that you and your hubby and all of your guests shared on your special day!  Ivan did a rockin job!  I love the white board idea too - I'm stealing it if you don't mind!  Congratulations!!

Congrats Melissa, your day looks amazing. I personally love Ivans work. I'm also stealing the whiteboard idea haha. Love your dress, hair and make-up! Love the bridesmaid dresses too, are they those convertable ones that are all the same but can be worn different ways? Ive seen those advertised on Etsy, but never seen them on or in real wedding photos, they look awesome! Where did you get them from? x

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
