HI everyone,

Soon to be a Mrs. and very excited!! I am new at this blogging thing so hoping to catch on fast. I am enjoying every-bodies input about Azul sensatori resort. I'm learning lots on this website..Hope to get some info on photographers. What photographers would you recommend? Also, how are the photographers that the resort offers?

Hi Krysta,

Azul Sensatori goes through Lomas travel, on their website they have a list of the photographers they use and their websites, you can see some of their work.

I think most people are hiring someone else.

I agree with Murmel....not many upgrades at this resort, as they don't need it to bring us brides and our large groups in...check with your travel agent and see if they are GI...if yes, you may get a few perks.

You will likely be upgraded upon arrival.  I was upgraded to a swim-up suite, which I loved, but it was much smaller than the regular rooms, so I had to get ready in a bridesmaid's room.  I would make sure the upgraded room is just that, an upgrade from what you would have received originally.

just had a random question. We're finding this resort to not be giving us any sort of perks or upgrades, I'm not sure if it's just because of who we used or what but I find that most resorts accommodate a big group and they haven't given us anything :(

Has anyone been given any perks/upgrades? I find them to be a bit strict specially with the outrageous vendor fees and prices for something of the stuff they offer. Any thoughts on this?

We were offered the Honeymoon Suite (in the family section) or a premium swim-up (we booked a regular swim-up).  We opted not to switch because we were already unpacked in our room (and had a ton of stuff with us), we didn't want to move to the family section (although the patio and the view in the honeymoon suite over there is awesome, but otherwise the room is the same), and a few of our guests were booked in the regular swim-up section and we thought it would be fun to stay by them.  Ask for it when checking in.  Lorena checked us in, she's very sweet, and will get it for  you if she can.

We also had a swimup suite (premium section). When we arrived they offered us the honeymoon suite (up on the second or third floor). Beautiful balcony and view, but we kept our room because it had a hot tub by the swimup (which we really wanted). So like someone said, be aware of what you have, and what the upgrade is. You could even ask to see both rooms first before deciding. Either way you will love this resort!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
