Azul Sensatori Brides - POST HERE!

Recommended Posts

Hi there Kazala,

Don't worry, there is always a surcharge for the sky weddings. Lots of reasons for it... It's a bit harder to set up (carting everything up to the top floor rather then just the beach) plus they have invested money in creating the venue as well. Plus, should you choose to broadcast your wedding via a live stream (available only to sky wedding brides), they must have technicians at hand in order to make sure the broadcast goes smoothly.

Great choice though, it's an amazing spot :) Well worth the surcharge!

Can I just check with everyone who is gettied married on the skydeck, did you pay extra for it? I've been qouted two different prices for each wedding package (pearl, silver, gold) one price for a beach wedding, and one price for a skydeck wedding. I definatley want the sky deck, but also want to check this supplement is usual?

And to mbowling....congratulations, have fun and enjoy every second :) xx

I'm also getting married on the sky deck and I did have to pay. It was $1700 with a $200 deposit.

Keep in mind tho, if it rains, you will not get the full amount back... they keep some of it which sucks!

2012?? Wow that is getting close, its literally weeks away! You must be so excited :)

Can anyone recommend the resort photographers? At the moment I think we are going with Ivan Luckie, but my FI was asking if the resort ones were any good? x

I know! I'm so excited!!!!!!

I can't really speak for the resort photographers, I'm bringing my own photographer but I did book Playa Weddings as videographers. Good luck!

Hello ladies!

First of all, congrats to Kerry and mbowling! You both must be MRS now! Hope you enjoyed every moment and can't wait to see some photos!

Our honeymoon (belated) was fantastic! We travelled all over southeast Asia and it was an amazing adventure. I am in love with Cambodia and really want to go back...like right now.LOL

Justiner- the photos are beautiful!

I hope they dont try and plant that on me, if I book at current prices I will be flat refusing to pay any extra!!! Am happy to pay it for Ivan Luckie, I love his work, but I think I'll maybe look at a hotel DJ because the music isnt so important, as long as we can dance to it we really dont care lol

Thanks for the info ladies, the menu's look good, I'm impressed.

Once I'm booked, does the wedding co-ordinator send thru photos of the different locations within the hotel that are available for the reception? I've read a lot of reviews that seem to go with Zavas plaza but I'm not sure I want there. Sorry for all the questions and thanx for all your help jiggy.gif

Oh, and the dress, maggie sottero Geneva, its got quite a big train and am not sure its suitable for getting married in the heat but I dont bloomin care coz I love it :D

Can't wait to see a photo of your dress.

As for music, if you're not to picky, I would just suggest renting their Amp system for your dinner. This provides speakers, Ipod player and microphone. As well, the resort has someone who operates your Ipod all night long. So what we did is make music lists, example dinner 1, dinner 2, dancing 1, dancing 2, first dance. Then the guy operating the system just hit play on the Ipod. Whenever our MC or guests went up to give speeches he simply faded the music, and then when the speech was done he turned the music back up. When dinner was done, he simply hit the dance lists and party time! (if I remember correctly it was $150??-check my planning thread... it's there for sure)

If you click on my name and go to photos there are some photos of some of the receptions sites. There are lots to choose from, beach, by the pool, indoor....just depends on your group size and what you want. If you have any other questions just ask. I have now been to Sensatori 4 times! I love that spot...so I can certainally offer details and help! Cheers!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
