Azul Sensatori Brides - POST HERE!

Recommended Posts

We visted Now Sapphire, Dream (Riviera Cancun), and Azul Sensatori. I have been to Oasis Resort (Cancun) and Iberostar Paraiso.

Having stayed at bigger resorts, I knew I wanted a smaller more intamite resort for our wedding. Also, with the resorts we visited, I really liked that they were only 20-25 minutes from the airport. To head to Cancun or Playa (my favorite) there is a shopping trip shuttle that only charges $15 per person and you get to spend 4 hours there.

I'm looking at Resorts for our wedding and was looking at the NOW resorts, and came across all of your threads...after reading them I came over here to read these threads--you inspired me!  My travel agent is now looking into rates at Azul  Sensatori!  Looks wonderful!

Did you by chance visit Moon Palace or any Palace resorts?

Thanks!  Excited:)

If you were to do it all over again, would you do anything differently? As for the Smores party, we were also going to plan this for our guests. My WC sent me this power point outling what the smore package included. I am confused about 1 item listed "Prize: traditional Mexican sweets and souvenirs".  What is this? I asked my WC and she has not gotten back to me. Did you notice any sweets or souvenirs? Do you have pics of this setup? sorry i am asking so many questions. I guess I am not sure if its worth the money... thank you in advance!! :)

No worries! :)

My ceremony start time was 4:00pm, the sunset was at 6:15pm (ish) in October....not sure when your wedding is, but if you google Mexico sunsets, there are sites that will give you that info. ...I did take pics outside anyway, and am crossing fingers that they turned out (the photographer kept saying that we may not like the weather, but they prefer overcast to sunny as they take better pics...)  Here is to hoping he is right!!!

:)

If I were to do it all over again, I honestly don't think I would have added a thing, OR taken anything away!  I just would have payed more attention to what I was signing the day of our wedding (if I had really thought about our guests eating dinner in the rain, I would have had them move it inside while we were having our ceremony)!

The smors bonfire was one of my favorite memories!!  We had awesome weather, and below is pics of the food table.  Yes, the bonfire looks like a bust, but the bar is where everyone is gathered in front of (hahaha).  They setup a table for my pashminas, glowsticks and IPOD dock as well, so our guests just grabbed them as they came down to the beach!  We danced the night away...so much fun!

I remember asking my WC about the prize too....I don't recall her answering me, nor was there anything set up that jogs my memory.  lol

It is not your typical smors by any means (see pic).  BUT it was all very tasty, and I loved the way they set it up...looked fancy!

I would definitely do the smors bonfire party again, for sure!!!!

(ps....they had a reggae party on the beach one night when we were there...it was SO much fun...don't miss it!!!)

Hi there ladies,

I just came back from a very thorough wedding site inspection at the Azul Sensitori, as well as most of her sister properties. There are loads of photos on our Facebook page, check it out at www.facebook.com/bluepetalweddings

As I walked around this property, the more I realized the sky was the limit with weddings here… I was shown multiple beautiful gazebos, appropriate for receptions, cocktail parties and ceremonies. Some surrounded by gardens, another on the beach. Next to one of the beach gazebos was a beautiful white arch set up for a wedding just about to commence, and I was lucky enough to see Ivan Alcaraz, one of the onsite wedding coordinators in full action! When I saw the sky is the limit, I mean it, for on one of the rooftops, overlooking the turquoise horizon was the Sensitoriâ€s Sky Wedding venue. The water and sky were so blue, the horizon plays tricks with the eye, not knowing where each one began and ended… A perfect backdrop for a perfect wedding... Webcams are set up discretely to broadcast the ceremony home to loved ones unable to attend, a sensitive touch to one of the complications of getting wed so far away.

This property has so many spectacular options for cocktail parties and receptions Iâ€m not sure how couples will chose! Standing in Plaza Zabaz, imaging the beautiful reception set ups being described to me, I closed my eyes to see a first dance under a gazebo of fairy lights with the palms swaying gently… Oh yeah, you canâ€t do that in Canada!

The Vassa Spa (which actually has spa rooms for children!) has a breathtaking bridal suite. With only three treatments, this is complimentary for three hours before the ceremony on the big day. Three treatments…? Easy! Ample room for bridesmaids as well, this is a wonderful place for a bride to spend her last few hours as a Miss with her closest friends.

The spa isnâ€t the only place that makes children feel special. They actually have their own check in (colourful steps take them up to see over the reception desk) where they get a milkshake and mom and dad get their hands on one of the thirty flavours of Mohito! There is a very large wet play area for kids to run around in circles and squeal until they drop and the Sensitori is home to the most impressive kids club Iâ€ve ever seen. A gym, a doll room, a Lego room, a games room, an arts and crafts room, a nap room, food activities and even a large theatre where they can perform for their parents! Itâ€s amazing and it doesnâ€t end there. Even infants, (with a quick request from your travel agent) are given special treatment. Your room will be set up with a change table which converts into a baby bath, a crib, infant toys, a bottle warmer, and even a tiny little branded robe to match mommy and daddies. The attention to detail for families really makes this property stand out amoung the competition.

There are many fabulous restaurants onsite that can facilitate semi private dinners and cocktail parties, too many to mention, but one cannot ignore Le Chique. Serious Oh La La! Adults only here, a super funky wine cellar which you can sit inside and enjoy a fourteen course meal (extra charges apply) this is definitely a once in a lifetime experience.

Something unique… Tucked away discretely on a few chosen roof tops are enough solar panels to heat the hot water for the entire resort. One of the many green initiatives at the Karisma properties.

Absolutely loved this property, if you guys have any questions please send me a direct message!

Hi fellow brides!  I'm getting in married at a nearby resort April 6th, but I'm hoping to find another bride getting married April 4th, 7th, or 8th who still needs a photographer.  I'm planning on bringing Sara Gray but she said that if I can find another wedding for her to shoot while she's in Mexico then she'll give us both a great deal.  PM me if you want more details!  http://www.saragrayphotography.com/ She's been featured on some of my favorite blogs...style me pretty, wedding chicks, grey likes weddings, etc

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
