So sorry to hear about your bridesmaid. It so true, that sometimes people let you down when you least expect it. Hopefully you won't dwell too much on it, and remember that the day is really about you and your to be husband! Everything will work out it the end :) Hugs.

What you could do is always ask someone who is joining to be your official witness, that way you still have someone in your corner, but won't make them feel like second choice. Good luck.

Yes, that's what I have seen them mention, but I read some reviews that said it was very romantic, etc. and we are looking for something a little more lively where the guests could mingle and not just have to stay seated and listen to 'romantic' music :)

It is the etsy seller called "sayanythingdesign".....www.etsy.com   The entire package came with the frame/vases and funnel.

:)

Thank you very much!  :)

I just got home about a week ago....the beach....

It is a small beach (sand to water)....it is quite weedy, although the resort comes along a number of times a day to clear it away.  There is a coral reef just in front of the hotel in the water, which makes the water dark in color.  Once you walked into the water about 6 feet, it becomes very rocky (chris bruised the bottom of his foot pretty bad, and 2 other guests cut their feet).

You can, however, walk a short distance down the beach to where the walk in was all sand, but it felt too secluded to hang out at that end.

We were more of pool people, so it wasn't a big deal to me, but some of my guests did mention that they have been to nicer beaches.

I would go back in a heartbeat, and don't regret having my wedding at this resort.

Hope this helps!

:)

yeah, I think the dinner portion would def. be more on the romantic quiet side, but I am sure the catamaran would be hopping!

:)

especially if you are having a private cruise, and you can let them know what type of mood you are trying to set.

Kerry - i am really sorry for your bridesmaid disappointing you! I know it is easier said than done, but try not to let it stress you!!  Just remember your wedding will be exactly the way you want it, and it is her loss for not being a part of something so special!

Following getting the dress and the first essential bits of planning i've not done much!!!

Still trying to decide on veil or no veil!!

I'm now having no bridesmaid due to my bridesmaid letting me down hugely and feeling it was too late to ask anyone else and not wanting to make them feel like second choice!!

My spoon meal is booked.

I've got the ceremony at 3pm and the meal at 6.30pm. I want to do pictures in between and will go to one of the bars for cocktails. I'm using Claudia Photo Erick Rodriguez.

Really need to get back into the planning. I think the stress over the bridesmaid issue has made me slow down a little.

How are you doing?

Kerry x

Thanks for all the support.

Its nice to hear that others have had similar problems.

At least i don't have to worry about the bridesmaid dress now!!!

Think i'm going to ask a couple of friends to get ready with me. And gonna have a girly sleep over the night before the wedding.

I'm sure it will be fine.

I'm gonna do OOT bags also. Ordered the bags just got to decide what to put in them!!!

I stayed with one of my bridesmaids the night before, we had a ton of fun....waking up with her was good too, cause I was a bit of a nervous mess, and she put a sombraro on and danced in her undies....while I half laughed/half cried at 6am....(oh.....to be a fly on the wall)...

:)

The contents of the OOT bags shopping is fun!!!  Enjoy!

HI Ladies, I've been lurking for awhile but I can finally join you! My fiance and I have decided on AS for our wedding and I am beyond excited. I've already gotten so much information for you guys. I don't know what I would do without this board. We're planning May 2013 so we have quite a ways but I'm sure you'll be hearing more and more from me as I get deeper into planning. Hopefully we'll be able to make a planning trip sometime next spring.

Michelle

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
