Azul Sensatori Brides - POST HERE!

Recommended Posts

Hi! Caroline

How exciting! You are going to love it. I did a dress rehearsal at Azul Senastori the weekend of Sept 23. I did the site tour on Friday, then menu & cake tasting on Saturday. I definitely recommend making reservations for Le Chique at Azul Sensatori if that is where you are staying. It is  very interesting and worth trying out! Also, you should check out this website for the different wedding packages and extra add on stuff. This way you are more prepared. I def wish I knew about this site before my trip. I also recommend knowing ahead of time which other resorts you would like to visit. This way you can let them know as soon as you arrive. Make sure to try out all restaurants (i wish i did) and ask as many questions. Hope this helps!

My site visit is coming up very soon --- the week of November 1 (very excited!). Has anyone here had a site visit at the Azul hotels before?  If so, what should I expect during the site visit?  Has anyone been successful tasting any of the menu options for weddings during a site visit?

I'm very excited for the trip, but am so nervous that I'm going to forgot to ask important questions while I'm there.  Any suggestions about questions that I should definitely make sure to ask during the site visit?  Would appreciate any input from former or 'soon to be' brides! Thanks so much, ladies!

Does anyone know if Azul hotels allow brides to use outside vendors for flowers / decorations?  And if so, do former brides have any referrals or recommendations of flower vendors to use?

Have fun on your site visit!

I know Azul does allow outside vendors, but they have to be approved and there is a fee to bring them in (I think the rate is $500 now per vendor)

Hi All

I am almost done with the planning.. any suggestions on length of time for the photographer.. I would like a few shots getting ready so you figure 1 hour there.. plus then we have the ceremony and reception from 4-10 (6 hours)... I don't know if we really need the photographer there the whole time.. it seems a bit excessive.. What do you suggest?

Hello ladies....

I am home, and I am a Mrs.!!! :)

I have been working hard on getting my planning thread done, and my review.  In the mean time, I can tell you this...

The azul sensatori resort is like none-other I have been to.  I thought the decor/food/staff were just awesome!!!!

The wedding coordinators have it down to a science, but I wasn't impressed with the manager of the weddings...I could have seriously done without her (think her name was raquelle?).

I had crappy weather (it rained at the end of the ceremony, right through the dinner outside in Zavaz plaza) and we had to move the dancing/cake etc. inside, so we had a break in the middle of the reception after the rushed dinner (literally, we went speech after speech after speech until they were done).  We then were delayed on getting out because of Hurricane Rina (they borded up the entire resort, removed signs/large trees and all the coconuts onthem/glass barriars etc. etc.) We ended up leaving a day and a half later then originally scheduled (many guests not too happy about it)  My surprise catamaran trip was cancelled due to weather as well :(     The resort only had two restaurants open the last two days we were there, I hope for Juli they opened them up quick, I know she was on her way in (or was scheduled to land the day the hurricane hit).

Through it all, (many ups and downs)  I am now married, and it feels really good!

:)

I had a great week with family and friends, it just sucks that the wedding of my dreams I was planning was literally rained on....all the stuff I worked on was rained on and its been hard to get over that part.  Everyone just LOVED the resort, and we truly had a great time, it was just the wedding day that didn't turn out as planned smile35.gif

Thank you!

My maid of honor did the makeup for us all (she is a MAC makeup artist) and we all had our hair done at the resort!

:)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
