Azul Sensatori Brides - POST HERE!

Recommended Posts

Rachael,

I should have mentioned all the activities/classes were free of charge. And if you have kids coming, the kids activity club is outstanding. Our young guests had so much fun!

(the gym is located upstairs by the spa, in the main lobby)

I'm happy with how they turned out.  The bags were a little thinner than I had hoped, but CheapTotes was very easy to work with and gave me a great price on the bags and the screenprinting, so I can't complain!  I think they'll look great stuffed with everything!

Very timely comment about activities - thank you. My dad was recently asking (he can only manage a few hours of pool lounging, he needs to DO stuff). He'll for sure take advantage of the boats on the beach. Did they have little dinghys (small sailboats)? Did anyone try the cooking class? My mom would love that...

There are 2 stationary bikes, 2or 3 treadmills, about 6 assorted weight machines, 2 free benches and a rack of free weights. Small towels are provided and cold water in the fridge. Fairly basic, but does the job. It was usually fairly busy around 9am, but empty every other time we went.

Also there is an activity sheet (talk to your conciege when you arrive) and it lists the other classes available. There was water aerobics, yoga, pilates, stretch classes, dance class, etc. You can also use the kayaks, and other water boats for free at the beach. The only thing is you have to buy a Reef braclet (I think it was $2/person??), it's kind of like a national park admission pass since you float directly above a large coral reef, but it's good for the whole time you are there...just don't cut the braclet off.

welcome.gif        There are so many of us that went through this, and some still, and some that have put it in the past with the help of all the wonderful ladies on this site (especially our Azul/Beach ladies)!!  :)

Congrats on your upcoming wedding, and welcome!!!

It has been our dream since we started talking marriage and even more important since it is a second joyful wedding for both of us (after both going through painful divorces with unfaithful spouses). So this is something we've always wanted to do. But some family and friends really started to put pressure on us to not have a destination wedding and we had to think hard about the possibility that only a handful might be able to attend. The fact that I have just read your encouraging comments, Justine and Bondgirl, right as I land on this page, are to me a sign from the good Lord that we are on the right track by sticking to our initial planslalala.gif So Azul Sensatori....here we come!

I look forward to sharing and learning from all here!

Hi jasminerice Happy planning and congratulations on deciding to marry at Azul Sensatori. I have had some problems with family etc but knew my fiancee and I both wanted to marry abroad and as soon as I saw Sensatori we too fell in love with the idea of marrying there. Like people have said to me over the past week you have to follow your own dreams and do what you both want for your special wedding. These girls have been a fantastic support to me over the last week. So pleased I have found this forum. I am so sorry you have both had such a bad experience in the past and that is more of a reason for you and your fiancee to follow your dreams and have your wedding just the way you want it x

Murmel Your fantastic! Thank you very much for the detailed reply :) I am pleased to see that the gym is free as I had looked on Trip advisor and was quite annoyed to think we had to pay extra for the gym. Looking forward to using the kayacks! You are brill for advice...... much appreciatedcheers.gif Which photographer did you use?? We have an hour in with our wedding package with Caribe (I think!) I have been very impressed with Elizabeth Medina's pics but think she may be too expensive. I have not had a quote but I think Sensatori charge you for using an outside photographer? x

Hi ladies well I'm here in sunny Mexico and I have 1 more day till we wed. Changed plans and am now getting married on the rooftop more private than the beach (no joggers). I've seen a few weddings not sure if it's anyone from here. We have doremix as our Dj met them the other day they seem very nice, and we're using Carbie so will let you know how that goes.

Yes, Elizabeth's prices are up there, but her work is gorgeous!!  You do have to pay (on top of the photographer or DJ or any other outside vendor) a fee to Azul of $800 for each vendor.  Something to think about when looking at who to hire.

:)

Doesn't Murmel rock??!!!

Ladies...refresh my memory...

I know you need the christmas lights for the lanterns, but I recall a bunch of posts about having them in Zavaz Plaza (I think around the posts?)....do you have to bring your own? - I am also recalling some ladies saying they didn't like the candy cane look....but don't remember what that look was?

HELP...slowly losing it...too...much...wedding...planning...today!!!!

Another one....is everyone purchasing bouts. for their "dads"?  as in on both sides? ( I have 3 dads coming...one step)  What about moms?? (do they wear that wrist thing? lol....??)  I am assuming we are to pick up this tab for all the parents?

What is everyone doing for this?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
