Thank you so much!

OUr photographers name was Haviare (Not sure on my spelling there)

He was great personality and took what I thought were the right shots but they just didn't turn out that great

I will try and catch up today on what's happening. Sorry to everyone I promised info to last week, we literally had arrived home from Ottawa and our last AHR (which was fantastic), to recieve a phone call that my Opi (grandpa) had died. Packed our packs and headed to the airport. So I just spent the last week in Germany trying to arrange everything.

Hope all is going well, and I promise I will get that info out shortly.

Hi People,

I'm new on here.  We get married at Azul Sensatori on 20th April 2012.  Hoping to gain a few tips with the planning on here along the way!! Believe it or not I've actually been pretty organised and got loads sorted already.  I've read through a few of your posts, many which fill me with confidence and some which have worried me slightly :(

Any other brides to be getting married around April next year?

Maggie, Thanks for the update. What package did you go with to end up with 600 photos. Thats a lot!!! You have some lovely photos in there just a shame not as many as you want xx

I am so glad I had my mom their as backup.

I wouldn't use them again but also I did get what I paid for. i had a tight budget and i couldn't afford to bring someone with us and pay them or go with another Mexico photographer and pay the outside vendor fee.

I did love the photographer they sent. I guess he just doesn't take good photos.

Between the ones I like from them and my mom's I should be able to put together a very decent Album!

Just wanted to put my experience out there!

I'm still torn between just going with the Spoons dinner and having something we have to pay extra for so that we can have a space outside and do some dancing (bloody budget).  My sister got married in Cuba and paid extra to have a meal for the group and thought it was a complete waste of time.  She also didn't have a dj and we did have a great time just having cocktails after but I really want to boogie.....

Im kinda hopng that there will be some live music at one of the bars. The disco opens later on for everyone in the teen area. Perfect place to hijack the DJ and do some boogie!!!

I am so excited and I can't wait to come back and post my photos and review for you all to see. I have been addicted to this site for months now and I just love, love, LOVE looking at everyone's pictures. I have never seen one bride who didn't look beautiful, so that calms me a little bit! lol

Thanks to all the past Brides for all the info and tiny details you added here....for my type A, control freak personality this site has been a godsend. I feel like I have already done a site visit! For all of you just starting out and finding this thread, I suggest (yes it takes days) but go back to the start of this thread and read through! All and I really mean ALL of your questions about lights, lanterns, number of steps down the isle, to the number of outlets at Zavas Plaza will be answered! Also, read the planning journals (my personal fav) there are some truly great ideas on there. ANd nice photos too!

Our photographer is Sweet Caribbean so if anyone else is using them or considering them, email me after the wedding and I will let you know how they were. But so far they have been really terrific to work with.

Ok so see you all when I am a married woman!

yeah, thanks....we'll have to talk when you get back, where you got them etc. If they were bought in Toronto, maybe save on ordering from the net....

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
