I wore a veil and while it was all over the place, I wouldn't have changed it.  I think it made me look more "bridal."  I even kept it on for the reception, and it saved me from balling coming down the aisle.  It whipped me in the face as we were coming down the aisle and I laughed and pushed it out of the way.  :)  I always thought I didn't want one but it looked so nice with the dress.  And you can get them very cheap online, if you're not looking for anything fancy or particular.  If you don't spend a lot on it, you can decide on the wedding day depending on the weather.  I married at 5pm on the beach, and it was very windy! :(

I had to stop taking birth control in December after over 15 years!!!  I forgot all about my breakouts and oily skin, well...its baaaack!!!

Its really the oily skin I can't stand right now, and the more reading I do, it says nothing much will help.  I ordered pro-active and have been using it for over a month, and it is helping with the breakouts at least.  You've used the tanning towels before?  I used self tanner once, like 10 years ago, and I was streaky and orange....I vowed to never try it again....however, I am sure they have made improvements on this type of product over the years.  Any brand that worked best?

Your right, I would only go a couple times too...I use to go all the time in College...so bad!!

We're getting legally married in the US the Monday before our Saturday WEDDING and we're not keeping it a secret or making a big deal of it. Our parents and sisters will be there and most likely my Grandma, who can't make the long trip to Mexico. It'll be very casual and our anniversary no doubtably will be October 22nd, our wedding date. :) :)

Tisha - LOVED your tan. That's the color I want!

I've thought about this too since I have a feeling I'll only really have one good day of Mexico sun before the wedding. I think tanning beds are awful for your skin but I might make an exception for this one time in life and go a couple times before the wedding. I usually have good luck with Mystic tans (my skin is already slightly tan) but they don't last very well in the pool and that's where I'll be! I might do some self tanner at some point while I'm down there, "tanning towels" are easy to pack and aren't messy. As for skincare, I've already been trying hard to take care of my face...I had to stop the pill (after over 10 years!!) a couple weeks ago so crossing my fingers that whatever minor breakouts come, come in the near future, nowhere near October!

Congratulations on your wedding! Love the parasols :)

LOVE the dancing video!!!  smile29.gif

So awesome!!!

Pics look amazing....especially the water in the boat shots.  Is the water in front of the hotel really as dark as it looks?  It seems all pics off boats make it look crystal blue, but the land shots make it look like a lake!?

:)

You and your daughter are very cute!  (pic standing on swings)

WOw your photos are amazing!! I love the tan suit your husband is wearing, where did he get it from? We have been going back and forth between black or tan for my FI to wear on the wedding day, but I'm totally LOVING the tan! My dress is similar to yours and I think the dan looks great

I know, self tanner is scary. I've used both of these:

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
