Azul Sensatori Brides - POST HERE!

Recommended Posts

1. I just took really good care of my skin and scaled back on makeup about a month out. I did get eyelash Extentions from a Groupon and they were fabulous!

2. I tried the spray tan about 2 months before but I am VERY pale as well and I didn't like the color it gave me. With that said I was at the resort about 5 days before my wedding so I got a "tan" in that time that was perfect

A few beauty questions....

1.  Did anyone do anything start getting facials, or perhaps try a peel before their big day, or are thinking about it?  I don't normally do these sorts of things, but think it could help as my skin has started to break-out since I've stopped the pill in December (medical reasons).

2.  Is anyone super milky white like me (for real)...and tanning or something before their big day?  ( I don't want to be super white on the beach...I would like a nice tan) - but not sure if I want to fake-and-bake at the tanning salons....any other suggestions?

LOL....your tan was pretty sweet!  :)

Maybe I should just make an appt. at a dermatologist too....you found that the retinol cream helped?  (just for breakouts???  did it help with pores etc?)

Thanks!

:)

We told our parents and siblings and that was it.  We married at our house (we live on the water) and the parents made a bigger deal of it than we had wanted but it was a nice day.  I didn't feel married then at all though b/c I had planned everything for Mexico.

I went to a dermatologist and just started using a retinol cream (has retin-a which is like the best for your skin).  I thought about the peels and all but I've never seen a major change from one so I opted to use my certificate for a massage instead.  :)

For the second one, sorry, can't help ya.  If you saw my pics, I got kinda Mexican looking at the beach!! Lol

That is what I am afraid of, a spray tan coming off, or just not looking nice.  I am there a  few days before too, but wanted a tan for the welcome party too....

Thanks for the advice!

I can't speak for the sky deck but I can tell you at 3pm on the beach there is no way a veil would survived on my wedding day. My hair was all over the place

I am wondering the same thing.  Veils are so pretty but if it's super windy we might be having to hold onto it the whole time.

My skin doesn't break out too often, and I was on BC, so I can't say how much it helped with that.  I just know the dermatologist highly recommends using something with retin-a b/c it gives your skin nutrients it needs.  She also gave me a moisturizer with sunblock, and showed me how bad even the standard sunrays are.  I more or less wanted to get into a skincare regimen to help keep my skin looking young.  I think a dermatologist would be a great start.  :)

I wore a veil and while it was all over the place, I wouldn't have changed it.  I think it made me look more "bridal."  I even kept it on for the reception, and it saved me from balling coming down the aisle.  It whipped me in the face as we were coming down the aisle and I laughed and pushed it out of the way.  :)  I always thought I didn't want one but it looked so nice with the dress.  And you can get them very cheap online, if you're not looking for anything fancy or particular.  If you don't spend a lot on it, you can decide on the wedding day depending on the weather.  I married at 5pm on the beach, and it was very windy! :(

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
