Azul Sensatori Brides - POST HERE!

Maggie I am so glad you posted this.  I thought I could fit all of our wedding day stuff in one suitcase.  SO WRONG!  I have a few people in business class that will be bringing some stuff to help me out.  It didn't seem like it was that much until I started packing.  You're time is so close.  I am so excited for you!

I loved it, and think it would look beautiful on the beach....it has a Grecian style.

How do you know when to stop looking?  I really didn't want to try anymore on after this one....

I am SO EXCITED!!!!

If you find something you love, that makes you feel like a princess I would say buy it! If you like that style, but are not 100% sold on that exact dress try Maggie Sottero destination line.I know there are some with similar styling. (it was on my list, but I ended up with something different) http://www.maggiesottero.com/collection.aspx?line=d

Happy dress hunting!

I am having the same problem.  I don't want to dictate what we do the entire time, but I feel like I should have things planned.

I am thinking that I may have the smores bonfire on Thursday, welcome party (with cigar roller) on Friday and then wedding on sat.  Also, I found blow up beer pong tables online so on Sunday, most of our friends are staying we may have a tourney in the pool!

One month to go you must be so excited!  What did you think of your site visit?  Getting worried about not having been to ABH!

Kerry

We wanted to do the smore bonfire, but they were very very restrictive as to the time. Over the phone the latest we could get was 6pm-8pm. In my opinion way too early, and it's still dinner time. When we got to the resort, they said they might be able to do 7pm-9pm....but we ended up just not bothering.

Love the idea of beer pong tables! Sounds like a lot of fun cheesy.gif

ie.  photographer and DJ from outside the resort x 2 outside vendor fees or 1?

:)

Unless the outside vendor is staying at the resort for a minimum 3 days, then you have to pay the fee for each vendor. (you may need to check your contract, the vendor fee was $500. I think it has now increased?) We didn't have to pay the vendor fee for our photographer since they stayed the whole week with us.

That 's the one piece of advice I starting giving to destination brides. Start putting everything you plan on taking with you in one place in your house/apartment, just so that you can see how much it really is! We ended up with 4 large suitcases, 2 carryons, and 2 suitbags. And I tried to keep what I was taking down with me to a minimum LOL!

Jamie- We did Place cards for our tables too! I love that idea. And your welcome books look amazing- so professional!

I was thinking about the smores bonfire on Thursday too. How much did they quote you for this and what time are you having it?  What are you doing for the welcome party on Friday? I think we are going to do the Beach BBQ.

We are going to buy a blow up beeer pong table too! We are trying to decide where to buy it...Did you already buy yours? Which on are you getting?

I feel in love with Azul Beach Hotel during my site visit! I looked at about 12 hotels in 3 days and LOVED Azul Beach Hotel more than any other hotel I looked at.  You will love it...I think!

Again, I took a lot of ideas from people throughout the forum (and some specifically in this thread).  I tried really hard to let anyone know in advance if I stole an idea...but I'm really sorry if I missed anyone!

Thanks yet again Murmel!!!  I have checked out that line, they are gorgeous dresses.  I think the "stuff" on it is it what I love!  I like textured dresses, and I don't want to wear a veil, so the "veiled strap" is awesome.  I am only not "sold" because it was my first time I tried on dresses, so I am going to try on a few more just to be sure. I am glad I love it though and not just kinda like it...so something GREAT will have to come along to top it!

:)

I know We leave in a week and one day!!!!

Packing for the third time went well. I got all the wedding stuff in 2 suitcases and they are both under 50 pounds each so no extra charges. Now moving on to the other 2 suitcases for clothing and some odds and ends!!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
