I am thinking general music while everyone sits and waits, but does the Groom walk up the isle and seat his Mom, both parents do the groomsmen do this? Or do people seat themselves?  Or does the Groom wait at the front and that is when it all starts? Then the girls, then the Bride?

I know, I obviously did not pay any attention when everyone else I know was getting married  embarrest.gif   Can anyone sort me out? lol

Thank you so much!

A lot of the ceremony is really your choice. They will accomodate you however you see your wedding happening. We had the guests sitting, then the men walked up the aisle, then the girls walked down the aisle. But I am sure if you want the groomsmen and bridesmaids to walk in together, or have your FI walk his mother in- they will adjust to suit you. That being said a general list of music you might plan for would be: (in brackets are the songs we used)

1) music while guests are arriving (Sail Away, David Gray; I'm So Glad, Royal Wood; All My Days, Alexi Murdoch; Changing Colors,  Great Lake Swimmers; Your Precious Heart, Marvin Gaye)

2) groomsmen entering (Feeling Good, Muse)

3) bridesmaids entering (Wild Horses, The Sundays)

4) bride arrival (same as above)

5) signing the registry (Juliet, Royal Wood)

6) exiting (Sleepy Maggie, Ashley MacIsaac)

I'm definitely including some sort of bug repellant in my welcome bags, I was thinking maybe the individually wrapped wipes? My wedding is in October, not sure of what or if there is a bug season, just want to be safe!

I DVR-ed it and watched it this morning. My FI is from England and we were just at all those places last summer so that was cool to see. She looked PERFECT and it did make me excited for our day, and even more grateful that 2 billion people won't be watching!

We are going with Doremixx, but we haven't had our wedding yet. My FI and I had a conference call with each of them to get a better feel for their services. There have been positive reviews on both...we went with Doremixx because we felt that he would 1) do a better job at mixing American, Indian, and Nigerian music for the reception 2)his website and responses felt more business/ professional like and 3) just got a better overall vibe.

I think you can't go wrong with either...but, have a conference call with them and see where your gut takes you.

(I know Doremixx is cheaper...is that the only reason?)

I live in South Florida, so I can tell you that the bugs will be coming out, especially after the rain. :-(. The good part is that the ocean breeze should help reduce the mosquitos. The bugs that are complete pests are "no seeums"...yes that is their name. They are tiny bugs that you literally can not see...kind of like sandflies. If I were you, I would put insect repellent in the bags. Avon makes a good one tht is not toxic. It is called Skin So Soft Bug Guard

Well being from England it has been wedding obsession for the last few days. The royal wedding was so beautiful it absolutely got me in the mood for picking my wedding dress. And the bridal shop was full to the brim of new brides this morning. Everyone is in the wedding mood!!!

But my dress is now picked and deposit paid.

Its this one:

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
