Azul Sensatori Brides - POST HERE!

Recommended Posts

I was so excited to find this website! I just booked our wedding at the Azul Sensatori for November 14, 2011. So far we have 28 people who are confirmed, that we have placed a deposit for. Our wedding invitations will go out next week. It feels like we are doing things backwards, but our prices were only guaranteed to be held for 7 days so we had to call of our close family and friends and get commitments from those that would 100% be coming. It was a stressful week!

Looking forward to getting to the fun part of the planning now!!! (there is a fun part right???) :)

Hmmm...okay. Yeah, a little pricey. Did they give you dimensions for the cheaper ones? They would DEFINITELY then need to double as table decor....

I haven't figured this out yet since I want to hang them from palm tree to gazebo (not just in the gazebo like most pics show). I haven't heard of anyone else stringing them like that but during my walkthrough at the resort, the coordinator said it could be done...

Hi!

I have the logo but the printing is costing more than I was expecting.  I think I am going to order the bags from ingreetings.com and they will print the logo on the bags.

We took about 40 with us. They only used about 20, assorted sizes. We ranged from 10" to 18" in size, and used 3 colors.

Hi Ladies,

I have been traveling for work for 3 weeks and just getting a chance to catch up on all the Azul news! Congrats to all the ladies who have gotten married & are there now getting married, so exciting! We just sent out our invitations, they turned out beautiful and I couldn't be more happy with them. We booked our photographer, flying in from the states, and are excited to work with her on our wedding day. Still waiting on the final number of guests but anticipating between 30-40 people. On a personal note, I am dealing with some difficult Grandparents, my grandma & grandpa (on both sides) have told me they won't be coming because they don't want to do all the traveling. They are only 70, so I thought this was a little shocking but not much I can do about it. Any advice on how to handle people who are important and don't want to take the "trouble" to travel for the wedding?

Also, wondering if any ladies who have already gotten married at Azul would want to share hanging lights & lanterns? Getting married at Zavas.

Thanks :)

Both my FI's Grandma who is 98 (We were pretty sure she wasn't going to be able to come. Both my living Grandparents 84 and 86 said they weren't going to come. There was some time when I was upset about it but I guess in the back of my mind I knew the risk when I decided to go to Mexico. I think eventually I knew that it would be ok and I got over the upset feeling. I can't explain it. Maybe I just had too much else on my mind or maybe I just knew it was a sacrifice I had to make. I know that probably doesn't help in the advice world too mcuh but it was my personal experience

Hi Maggie,

Thanks for the advice, I really appreciate it. I guess for me the hardest part is that my FI's family (grandparents, aunts/uncles, friends & cousin's) are all being so supportive and have said they will be there no matter what. But my family & friends on the other handle, only a couple of them are coming and more have said it's too far & expensive to go. So I am struggling because I feel like my family isn't there for me like his is. I guess it's just kind of a wake-up call, I am grateful to have everyone there and excited to become part of his family. I just wish my family was making an effort the way his family was.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
