Azul Sensatori Brides - POST HERE!

Recommended Posts

I am getting married there October 29, 2011! We are all set. I'd love to hear what you all are doing for welcome kits and favors. I'm concerned about traveling with too much. I'm doing a lot of the stuff myself. We are making luggage tags as the favor. We have custom koozies as the welcome kit gift and are making panel fan Programs. We got custom gift bags for the welcome kit that will also hold a welcome brochure. We are giving the guests rose petals to toss. Are any of you doing the sand ceremony? Bridal suite? I've signed up for those as well.

Hey guys... whoever suggested Perry Ellis as a choice for the grooms linen choice... thanks!!!  They were on sale at Macy's but ended up there is a Perry Ellis outlet here in Atlanta and so we got him a 3 pc. linen suit (pants, vest, jacket) for $129 and then a white linen shirt for $20.  Great deal!!!  You can also buy online at http://www.perryellis.com/Sale/icat/pesuitsale.  Jacket is only $79 and pants are $39.  Great deal!!

Ladies, I need some opinions. We are having our AHRs soon (we have 2 scheduled, one in Toronto for our friends, and one in Ottawa for my husbands' family), and I wanted to know should I wear my wedding dress?confused.gif

Both of the receptions are being held in high end restaurants and we are doing cocktail receptions, open bar with hor'dourves.

Any thoughts/comments? Any previous brides with recommendations?

Thanks in advance!

Thank you for this post!  My FI already got his suit at the Perry Ellis Factory Outlet in Denver and spent about the same price.  They have great deals!  My Dad still needs to get his suit and this will be perfect!  Thank you for your post!!

I say wear the dress!

We are having an AHR and that seems to be the first question everyone is asking me "will you be wearing your dress?". People WANT to see the dress and your dress was beautiful and perfect for an indoor dinner and cocktails. It isn't one of those giant pouffy dresses with a train. Unless of course you are looking for a reason to buy another gorgeous white dress :) Because this is a pretty good reason lol.

Hi!

I am getting married at Azul Beach Hotel on 5-28-11!  Congrats on making a great decision and choosing AS. I loved that hotel but ended up picking the smaller resort. I am making a welcome bags similar to the one shown below.  We are including a welcome letter, itinerary of events, pool float, custom koozie (good idea!), aloe vera, advil, pepto bismol, some fruit and nuts snacks, nail file,  loofah and small travel brush with mirror (for the girls), Ax body spray (for the boys), deck of cards, maybe custom chap stick, gum, hand sanitizer, maybe small Kleenex packs and there are a few more things but I can't think of them now. :( What kind of custom bags are you getting?  Have you already done your welcome brochure?  I was thinking of doing a welcome brochure because they are free right now on Vista Print but don't have the time to figure out what all to put on it.  Do you know what you are writing in your welcome brochure?

Where are you ordering your custom koozies from?  I am trying to figure out which ones to order because I want them to fit the plastic cups that they give out at the pool.  I got the dimensions of the cups from our WC but I am not sure which ones will work best.

We are going to do the paddle fans for our programs (still need to order) and we are giving our guests rose petals to toss too!  Are you ordering the rose petals from the resort? We are also thinking of ordering maracas for our guests.

We are doing the sand ceremony and I got a super cute sand ceremony kit online that's engraved.  I am working on our ceremony script right now and hope to have it complete by the end of next week.

What are you colors? Have you decided on flowers?

Can anyone share what and how they are re-using ceremony decor for the reception (other than moving the flowers that come with the exotic gazebo set up). I'm thinking more like bridesmaids bouquets or aisle decor. And has it been easy to coordinate the details? Thanks!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
