Wow Chicalogo your photo's are amazing!! you look stunning!! x

Morning!! Wow woke up this morning in a fab mood!! Were getting married!! Im soooo excited now! After spending lots of time recently getting things done I feel like a huge weight has been lifted and I now just mega excited!! So the things I have left to do:

Order ties to match BM dresses for the men - will do that today

Pick up 2 shirts for the ushers - found these, just need to find them in the right neck size - will do that today/tom

pick flowers- this is too hard, i love them all! what has everyone gone for if you have managed to decide already? and any advice? I have coral bm's so want something to tie in with them...

Find boat trip for guests - have emailed a few, just trying to get the price down- hopefully getsomething booked by end of week....

Go see AHR venue- wanted to wait til the weather was a bit nice so i have an idea what it might be like in june - might call down this weekend and see what decorations i will need.

Playlist for DJ for AHR - have left this to groom but better get my arse in gear as he is a bit slow!! - work in progress

Choose songs for wedding - what's everyone having for walking down the aisle, first dance etc I have not even started thinking about this yet!

Order dress box - thanks for the info ladies, will order this today!

Oh god now I have made that list, I have just realised still a bit to do!! Good job i have 10 weeks!!

Im also considering having hair extensions................any advice?? my hair is long enough, but for some reason it has gone really thin!! I think its all the crash dieting!! (10 lbs down, would like to loose 20 more....) Im just worried about going away with them swimming/sea etc.............has anyone had them done before and how hard are they to manage??

Right, better go to work now, keep forgetting I do have a real job to do, not just wedding planning!! x

I got some great Clips in from sweetextentions.com

It a girl who started doing tutorials on Youtube and made a business out of it. i have used the clipins 3 times now and get fab compliments everytime. They are easy to put in by myself but also like anytime look a touch better when a hairdresser does it for me :)

Awesome work Maggie!!  But, isn't that the last place we want to lose weight, but one of the first to go!!  Boo.  I went to a wedding last week, and put on a dress I wore a few years ago and it all but fell off my chest area.  I couldn't believe the difference.  I would like to try that crossfit!!

So sorry I have been MIA but once the wedding is over everything that you put off till later comes crashing back.  So I'm now officially caught up and should have my review posted here soon.  One thing that I did that I've shared with Jaime was I packed a suitcase with everything I needed fro the wedding and ceremony set up.  So when I got there, as many of you will read later in my review, i had tons of things to take care of! So it was wonderful that I had planned ahead and paid the extra $30 to check an extra bag!  When I went to the onsite meeting I took the one suitcase and showed them everything inside and how I wanted it.  I then gave them the suitcase and didn't worry about it anymore.  If the sashes and runners needed ironing, they must have taken care of it, because they were perfect and got no complaints from my mother!!! ( the lady that irons bed sheets!)  Even better after the wedding they stayed late and packed EVERYTHING back into the suitcase NEATLY!!!  So all I had to do was take it back home!!  So spending the extra money was sooooo worth it!

Ladies wanting the ribbons on the bouquets....I would wait until your down there and tell the coordinators!!! Seriously the MIAMI crew nickel and dime you. If you wait they may do it for free if not you steal have $10 to pay but trust me it is worth as shot!!

My Husband was in and out of the meeting because we were getting rooms arranged but I had to laugh because every time he came back in he added more LOL! Some how he added, with no extra cost, shrimp to the rehearsal dinner, extra bottles of champagne, and dance lights for the reception.  So, I say all this that extras do come once you get down there at a much cheaper if not free rate. We were an exception due to our situation but they do try HARD to please you!!

Ooh, yay, hopefully they are generous but with so many May brides, they may be a bit more skimpy with their giveaways.  Hmm, well we will think positive!! :o)

So funny, my FI is actually a crossfit trainer!  :)

(he kicks my butt in the gym!!!!)

Your pics look amazing!  You can def. tell that you have been taking care of business!!!!  Gotta love when the hard work pays off!

:)

I am going to check them out right now.  I keep going to Michaels, for ideas, but I have some time left, and am not committing just yet.  Would love to know where in the TO area you have been shopping!!!!  Any good places for dresses or places to avoid as well?  I am thinking of going to Beckers on the Danforth for my first dress shopping experience!

:)

Congrats on the weight loss.  That's fantastic!!!

A couple updates!

1.  Check out my profile pic...its our logo!  I love it!  I had our wedding invitation designer do it for us.  What do ya think?

2.  Update on the MOH disaster.  I met up with my cousin, we totally argued it out for over 2 hours (it was clearly needed, we had been holding a lot of resentment towards each other in, which was no good).  In the end, I told her it wasn't working out, it was so far past the lovely idea of bringing her down gently, or twisting it into her decision....so she is no longer my MOH, and my best friend has accepted is only too happy to step in, and promises on hard feelings, or feeling 2nd best!  My cousin and I are hoping we can start a new friendship without hard feelings, so I asked her to be a bridesmaid....I think this will help salvage the relationship for the future, and I won't expect so much out of her.  She is finally happy for me though, which was important to me.

Thank you for being so supportive, I totally felt like bridezilla....and you ladies helped me feel more justified in my decision, I appreciate it.

cheers.gif

Love your logo.  It's adorable!  So glad your MOH situation got taken care of.  I'm sure that was a difficult situation to be in.

Plans are going well!  We got everyone booked at Fives (closer to Playa del Carmen) and we have 24 total now, so my FI is much happier that he has some friends and family going.... my bff's are coming and my photographer!!  Have seen a few more Fives brides on the facebook page, but the Fives forum, there isn't anyone like here at Sensatori - so I keep lurking here!!!    I wish I could find another bride the same weekened there!!  Did you get your extra days booked?

Oh I didn't realize it was Azul fives...I will  have to check that out! I am so happy to hear that you got it all sorted out :) Fabulous news. I guess it's the same wedding coordinators and menu choices etc? Do you have to come to the Sensatori for the spa? Not sure if the Fives has a spa?

Yes, we are staying until the 13th of June but heading over to the Gran Bahia Principe Tulum for something a little more laid back and different- just the two of us

I love, love, love your engagements shots! Great job. You guys look so cute together and I adore the fuschia shirt! Keep in touch! and please let me know how things went at the Fives....I want photos! lol

Take care

I believe it is the Mexican Donkey Cocktail Party

2 hours

5 Canapes each guest

I did more and mine came out to $15 a person

I believe the cheapest is $10 a person.

I will see if I have the private banquet guide here at work and email it to you

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
