Something I want to add for brides is that it is VERY windy on the beach. Get your veil nice and tight in your hair. Also, I wanted a half up half down hairdo and i had to change to all up due to the high wind.

If you ladies have the choice to upgrade to the premium rooms DO IT _ so worth the money. the ammenities and the pool we got were far better than the regular rooms

First let me start by saying I was very worried about going to Azul Sensatori because of all the posts I read from angry people. Once I got there I realized those people were either overly picky, foreign or just not happy people. This place was AMAZING!!! Everything from the staff to the wedding coordinators to the kids room staff was perfect. I can't wait to visit again.

Wedding: The staff for the wedding made things so nice and simple. They took care of every detail for me and made me feel like a princess. I had no worries the day of the wedding because of how great the staff was. They went above and beyond to make my wedding a special, perfect day. The decor was beautiful and the beach was great. The hotel even has a guy scooping up seaweed from behind the gazebo and raking the sand in from of the gazebo so things looked perfect.

Kids: Our group had kids ranging from 18months to 13 years old and there was plenty of kids activities for all age groups. The azulitos kids club was great for the 18 month old and the 4 year old. They loved playing in the play place. The water activiteis in the pool were fun for all age groups expecially the older kids. The staff at the azulitos club delievered toys to our room to keep our son busy at night and the babysitter we used one night was TERRIFIC.

Food: Food was pretty good. Some resturant were better than others. I'm a picky eater and there wasn't a things I didn't like. Zocalo and Sienna were by far the best resturants and Spoon had great buffet options. Drinks were fantastic and were always made perfect. The bartenders at the adults only pool were AMAZING =)

Pool: The pool was a little cold but once you jumped in you warmed right up. There were so many different pools for everyone to be at that we never had a problem getting a beach chair. We had the option of using premium pool section because we were in a premium room but due to some snotty foreign guest we chose the other more populated pools.

The beach was a little seaweed covered bu the Gulf was so warm. If you walk down about 10 minutes you will hit the Azul Beach Hotel and the beach area there was perfect for swimming. I even went into the Gulf in my wedding dress!!! The staff at Snesatori do try hard to clear the beach of seaweed but it's just too much for them to always have it cleared

People: We were probably one of the groups of "Americans" that people complained about but we had a BLAST!!! We noticed some of the people were a bit picky and snotty and did not enjoy our group having fun but if they wanted a romantic peaceful place they should have picked a secluded resort.

Spa: Spa was a great experience. They did a wonderful job on my hair and makeup for the wedding as well as the hair, makeup and nails for my girls. The couples massage and the diamond massage were UNBELIEVABLY AMAZING - worth the money/

Money Tips: We tipped for the people who did great jobs (cleaning ladies, bar tenders, wait staff, etc.) Bring $1's and $5's because the desk never has change

Pros: Great food, Fantastic staff, Amazing spa, unending pools

Cons: No salsa (It's mexico - we craved fresh salsa) and gift shop/front desk never had change for us. we needed $5 or $1 bills to tip and we couldn't tip as much as we wanted since the desk never had change for us. We only brought $20's

Chicaloco 1999 - What were the amenities of the premium rooms? Is it the beach butler service, and aromatherapy in the rooms? Is there something else?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
