Also I have (hopefully) managed to post my resort review.

Here's the link:

If that does not work, it's under Resorts/Villas, Azul Sensatori.

Great review, Murmel! Tahnks so much for sharing your thoughts and feedback with all of us B2B's! Your insight answered alot of nagging questions I had and helped me plot and plan a few more things. Quick question:  What was the total cost of the Cocktail Party you held on the beach right next to your ceremony site? That's a great idea and I'm thinking about doing the same...Thanks!

Wondering what other brides are going with......

:)

**sometimes I avoid coming to this site because I feel so unorganized...you all sound like you know EXACTLY what you want and I am so not there!!!!!!!  undecided.gif

Also, I forgot to mention to you that there is no reason for you to feel unorganized. We are all at different planning stages and we are all here to help each other. I too am REALLY undecided on alot of things re: our wedding, but I find that by coming here and reading up, I'm able to narrow down my desires versus things that don't catch my eye. These ladies are great, so lean on us if you need help! If it makes you feel better, I am 3 months away for our big date and haven't sent out invites yet. ;-)  WELCOME!

Hope you ladies are having a good morning!!

Brides, I may have a JR Jacuzzi Suite avilable to give to one of your guests. I don't want to be pre-emptive because we are still waiting to hear from one more family member if they want it or not and I am waiting to hear from my travel agaent.

If you are interested in taking over the room email me at maggieandjay2012@hotmail.com

Once I hear from my FI cousin yah or nah then I will be ready to set you up with my TA and we can see how to transfer the room.

I just want a heads up if anyone is interested. It was orginally my grandparents room but they have decided not to come a couple days ago.

Hey ladies, I need some advice!!!

I'm having some doubts about having my reception on the beach (Palapa Yoga).  I guess I'm worried about sand fleas and that the beach is so narrow.  I wonder of the space will feel crowded if we use the palapa as a dance floor, with the tables directly between it and the ocean.  What do you guys think?

Most reveiws and pics I've seen have the receptions at The Zavaz Plaza or Terrace.  Zavaz Plaza is no longer available, so that leaves Zavaz Terrace for my reception.  Uggh I feel so indecisive!  What should I do? wtf.gif

We booked through a GI travel agent. So we recieved a 'free cocktail' party for up to 40 people. Our extra guests we had to pay $10/person. Not sure what the actual price would be if you were booking it on our own. However, in the price list for dinners/cocktail parties, the Mexican donkey party (without donkey), would be $10/person. Our guests really enjoyed it!

I think we were told at Zavas plaza the latest it could go was 11pm. But there were a few parties that went later...so not quite sure.

178163721215_0_ALB[1].jpgThis is the Zavas Terrace area. It would likely be a nice spot for dinner reception for about 15-20 people. We did a cocktail party there. As for Yoga Palapa, I don't think it will feel crowded. They did some huge receptions down there, and the palapa as the dance floor seems to work great!

I actually thought Zavaz Terrace was Zocalo Al Fresco...

BigBop I haven't sent out invites either, and my wedding is before yours!

I don't know how big your wedding is, but Zocalo was likely my favourite spot for a reception. (it's the back patio of the Mexican restaurant) Private, beautiful view, nice wicker chairs. We wanted to use this area, but the maximum number was 40 guests, we ended up with 63! :)P4070240.JPGPictures of Zocalo Al FrescoP4070239.JPG Not the best pictures, but hopefully it gives you an idea. They had huge star pinatas hanging when we where there the end of January.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
