I'm in need of some last minute help/advice!! Can anyone tell me what they thought of the speaker/sound system used for a reception dinner/dance at Plaza Zavaz? We're wondering if the 110W system we are renting will be enough for GOOD sound - music is big for us and our wedding guests are all big dancers so I want to make sure the system is good....i know plaza zavaz is outside and open air, so i just wanted to see what those of you who used the system thought of it.

we are looking at the two speaker system that lomas offers for rent on their site.

I asked my WC about using a DJ other than the one Lomas provided and she said it would be a $500 outside vendor fee for the DJ  :(  Which actually is STILL cheaper if we use another DJ!

(20% off, bride and groom free, etc)  I would just make sure it is a GIVC (they get perks from karisma).  that way you don't have to front any money either.  i say we do a whole lot to make sure things are easy for our guests.  they can at least be accountable for booking their own trip by calling/e-mailing the TA i suggested.  plus, i haven't had to deal with anything in regard to others travel.  they just deal with her.....that's her job and her specialty!!

and, for a wedding in may (which is very close to sold out) our prices are about 1000 per person for 3 nights, 1200 for 4, and about 2000 for 7 nights.  this includes flight and everything.

it is $500 for each vendor. :(

Just been looking on the Lomas website re vendor fees and it only mentions it next to Photographers no mention regarding DJ's. I'm going to question this with my WC, because if they want to charge you they need to state it on their website and its not.

What an eventful fitting you had!!

I'm so glad to hear the changes will make the dress perfect.  Its already a gorgeous dress...so I'm so excited to see how it turns out!

My first fitting is this coming Friday.  It should be easy alterations, but I'm still super nervous about how much it will cost.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
