Azul Sensatori Brides - POST HERE!

Recommended Posts

I thought the same thing.  I decided to buy my own chair bows and table runners.....they were much cheaper! Plus another bride on the forum with the same color scheme offered to go half on them.  I just love these ladies!!! Anyway they were $0.69 ea the table runners $3 somthing which is very cheap and they are nice.  I did check with the resort about set-up and they said they wouldn't charge me for it but i needed enough for ceremony location and private reception which was still cheaper than thier $4 chairbows.  We saw pics of the chairs without covers and just the bows and loved it.  So  checkout the link they were very nice, speedy delivery and good quality!

www.weddingslinen.com I had questions about colors and fabrics and they were very fast about replying and making sure the items were what i wanted!

Does anyone think the absence of chair covers and bows will take anything away awy or am I being stupid for choosing this to obsess about today???

http://www.kevinmonahanphotography.com/blog/?p=3949 - from 2009 but still good pics.  They had plain uncovered chairs/no bows and it still looks very nice.

Okay, I suppose that's all for now.  I need to get back to work!! :o)

Hey ladies when did you pay your final payment for the wedding.  Did you pay it in full or leave some to pay once you get down there. My TA said pay part of it but not all meanwhile Wc said pay it all.  Also i really don't want to buy and carry sand for the sand ceremony.  Did they charge you for the sand if you bring your own kit? I also just assumed i could add the ceremony at no fee if i bring the kit this is true right? ( its not included in my package- Pearl) And did they have alot of colors available? Thanks trying to decide if i should add it now or not.

I hope all the January brides have the best day of their lives and all the happiness in the world! Can't wait to hear what youa ll have to say when you get back, plus all the photos!!!

We paid it off in full too a couple weeks ago.  You can still add things when you get down there - including last minute guests.

I am doing the sand ceremony and I am bringing my own sand.  Picked it up at Micheals - cheap.  Takes up very little space compared to the shells and vase I am using!  I'm sure you could buy sand there - probably through the resort.  I am trying to limit my "need to find" items while I am there.

Why is he mad?   The ceremony is done in Spanish and can be translated by the WC into English.  You can also integrate ceremony readings you chose into it before and after the judge speaks and you can personalize it with family/friends.  I guess I don't find it a big deal - but I've also sat through 2 hour long Greek Orthodox and Indian weddings that were not in English at all!  I'll let you know how it goes next month!

The only thing I am certain of is that the ceremony will be performed in Spanish (no exceptions), but can be translated by the WC at your request.

I have been told by Thomson my holiday rep that all my paperwork needs to be translated into Spanish and then checked by the Mexican authority before travelling out to Mexico . is this true or can I just take it in English? Also what paperwork do I actually need? Birth certificate passport anything else?

With regard to the actual ceremony I saw someone mention earlier about the actual service wording and that it cannot be changed oand you dont have a choice, does anyone know what the wording is and will it be in English or Spanish? I really didn't think about this till now and am worried as I'm only 3 months away!
Thanks
Gemma

I know how you feel about the wedding coordinators. I have less than 5 months to go and i feel like there's soo much details that still need to be done and confirmed and there still isn't any confirmations on it. It's very frustrating.

And girls, is it just me or are the wedding coordinators pretty much useless?  Maybe that's a harsh word to use but I feel like I'm always referred to the Lomas site and never really get a true answer on anything.  I guess that's why this forum is so wonderful though.  I need to set up a phone call.  Maybe that would help.

Any of our January brides using the exotic gazebo?  I'm wondering about the candy cane vs draped shears.  I really don't like the candy cane look.  :(

And I thought the reservation at Spoons was good for 50 people. Was just told it's 40.  Am I crazy, or was it 50 a while back?

There is also the garnier roller ball that works good with puffyness not soo much dark circles. Also if you don't want to spend money then put some tea bags in the fridge and use those on your eyes. It works great! the caffine in it will bring down the puffiness.

Just checking to see if anyone knows of any products for puffy under eyes.  I have awful allergies and have been on allergy shots for about 8 months now, weekly.  But, my eyes are still really awful with dark circles and puffiness.  I would like to find something that can help before the wedding.

Thanks!!

I don't think so. Have not planned on it.

Don't worry too much. I was really frustrated at the start, but when it got down to crunch time (ie a month before we had to pay), the WC was great, quick with responses, always answered the phone, etc.

I think it seems to be an unwritten policy, brides who are getting close get great service, and the ones who still have time, let them wait! It frustrated the hell out of me, cause I wanted it all done and in place in September, but it didn't get finished until late December (wedding is January 24)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
