Thanks for letting me know this, I think I am going to complain until I get something out of this.

They are not acting like they are willing to change and I think they have put me somewhere else and I can't even think of where or what it is called. All I know is that it is by one of the bridges by the pool. I have asked for my wc to get pics from them so I can see and they still have not sent any. All they say is how beautiful it looks when set up but I am not convinced. I just wanted to vent a little about my situation. Any suggestions?

I think we are going to end up having around 60 guests so I think that place would be too small unless people back out since flight prices have gone up. I will have to ask my WC where they put me, I'm not sure what the other larger areas are.

How many guests do you have? The Zavas terrace is very nice, but small. My favorite location was the back patio area of the Mexican restaurant Zocalo, but the maximum they can handle is 40. Really nice tables and chairs, with a beautiful view of the ocean! Plus it's sheltered, in case it rains you would not have to move venues. That would be my #1 choice (and was my choice until we ended up with over 60 guests). Check my photos in my profile, I might have a photo, if not, PM me and I will dig it out and post it.

I would check with the Mexican consulate in England for the correct answers.  I avoid my travel agent for any purpose outside of hotel/flight information.

I have been told by Thomson my holiday rep that all my paperwork needs to be translated into Spanish and then checked by the Mexican authority before travelling out to Mexico . is this true or can I just take it in English? Also what paperwork do I actually need? Birth certificate passport anything else?

With regard to the actual ceremony I saw someone mention earlier about the actual service wording and that it cannot be changed oand you dont have a choice, does anyone know what the wording is and will it be in English or Spanish? I really didn't think about this till now and am worried as I'm only 3 months away!
Thanks

I agree...definitely check with your WC as well.

The only thing I am certain of is that the ceremony will be performed in Spanish (no exceptions), but can be translated by the WC at your request.

Hey everyone!!!  I am just posting because I am so frustrated with their pricing.  They put out a promotion that weddings where 5 or more rooms are booked that everyone gets 20% off.   I booked my wedding and now we are getting the RUNAROUND on the 20% OFF as we are ready to book rooms.  We even have an email from the Miami WC, Grace, that they will honor the 20%!!  I am at the point that I just sent her an email that I want our wedding deposit money back...  Dreams Tulum (my second choice) has a better pricing deal anyway!!  I just feel like if they can't even honor what they said in writing that I don't trust them to marry there.  You all have great stories, but I am for your word, is your word!!!  Anyone have any thoughts or help???  Thanks!!

Never saw the promotion for 20% off rooms. But if that's the promotion online, it may only be the price for rooms through their website, and it's likely your TA would be getting a better room rate for you.

We got 20% off private events, ie. dinner reception and cocktail hours.

Thank Murmel!    So you are saying that the 20% don't come off the rates the TA gives you?  Maybe that is where I am confused?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
