Azul Sensatori Brides - POST HERE!

Recommended Posts

I am doing DJ Doremixx and just paying the outside vendor fee and it is still cheaper than using Azul's DJ plus he will pay for 5 hours instead of 4 if that helps!

Thanks!!

i just got marriedat the Azul Santatori on July 10, 2010, what a great fun hotel.  The wedding turned out to be a great deal of fun and things were planned properly.  I will say the one bad thing was and is the DJ he was HORRIBLE. we payed $1500 for the dj package that came with some bubbles, smoke stuff and glow in the dark things.  Well the dj hmm where do i start, down loaded our songs
first dance, mother & son, and father and bride, BUT never heard his download and admitted to this so needless to say our song got cut off in the middle (4mins into the song) and he replayed it from the start 3 times before we just sat down, same thing with moher and groom song and so on.  He spoke so low that we had to repeat what he said and got things wrong like on the micrphone he said very low and now mother and bride dance instead of groom but didn't correct himself.  We luckly had a friend bring his laptdop down from his room and he played the rest of the music for us but...yes the dj was HORRIBLE my ipod could had done a better job then the dj himself.

we complained and got attitude from the ownercof the dj company. first by calling my husband a liar because h said he didnt speak spanish and the owner said you have a spanish name and everyone here is spanish so either you speak to me i spanish or don't speak to me at all.

My husband is latin american but in reality does not speak the language and was very much offended by this man.  he refused to speak to my husband and therefore had to get a friend of ours to speak to him. (keep in mind the owner spoke english)

Has anyone hired a DJ through Lomas for Azul Sensatori or Azul Beach and what did you think of them? I am getting married at Azul Beach on May 28th, 2011 but have yet to book a DJ. I have heard mixed reviews on the DJ's through Lomas and am looking for feedback and suggestions on DJ's you  have used and really liked.

Thank you!!!

Are they reasonably priced? Has anyone been down there to visit? What's it like -- do you have pictures? I'm really interested to see what the different "venues" are (i.e. the garden gazebo, sky lounge, etc)...

Anything would be great! Thanks!

If you click on my profile, there are some pictures from the resort. FI and I visited last April and loved it!

I am frustrated b/c I had asked for the zavas plaza months ago for my reception and now they are saying they had a new wc at the resort and she messed up and gave it to someone else already the same night. They are not acting like they are willing to change and I think they have put me somewhere else and I can't even think of where or what it is called. All I know is that it is by one of the bridges by the pool. I have asked for my wc to get pics from them so I can see and they still have not sent any. All they say is how beautiful it looks when set up but I am not convinced. I just wanted to vent a little about my situation. Any suggestions?

How many guests do you have? The Zavas terrace is very nice, but small. My favorite location was the back patio area of the Mexican restaurant Zocalo, but the maximum they can handle is 40. Really nice tables and chairs, with a beautiful view of the ocean! Plus it's sheltered, in case it rains you would not have to move venues. That would be my #1 choice (and was my choice until we ended up with over 60 guests). Check my photos in my profile, I might have a photo, if not, PM me and I will dig it out and post it.

Thank you both! For some reason I thought I remembered hearing that the only outside vendor I could hire (and I have already) was the photographer. I'm going to definitely look around! Phew!

I've heard great things about him (them). I want 5 hours as well...it's cheaper to go with them for 5 hours PLUS the $500 fee than it is to do the $1500 package with the resort? That gives me hope!

Question About Tipping...I know there is a whole etiquette section...but wondered if anyone could tell me what they did tip or what they are planning to tip?

Are you supposed to tip the WC? Photographer?

Trying to finalize budget and #s so FH can FINALLY ask his parents for $$$ and I want to be as close to what I /we will need as possible :)

Thank you

Hi ladies am a bit confussed about the legal ceremony hope you can help. I have been told by Thomson my holiday rep that all my paperwork needs to be translated into Spanish and then checked by the Mexican authority before travelling out to Mexico . is this true or can I just take it in English? Also what paperwork do I actually need? Birth certificate passport anything else? With regard to the actual ceremony I saw someone mention earlier about the actual service wording and that it cannot be changed oand you dont have a choice, does anyone know what the wording is and will it be in English or Spanish? I really didn't think about this till now and am worried as I'm only 3 months away! Thanks Gemma Xxx

The same thing happened to me!  I asked for Zavas Plaza months in advance and then not by choice we had to go through several wc and then all of the sudden it was already booked.  I was beyond livid and they ended up giving us a $300 credit towards our photography package.  We went with our second choice and that is Palapa Yoga.  It might be a little small for 45 people but we have no choice but to make it work.  I have to keep reminding myself that I will be at the beach and no matter what happens it's going to be gorgeous!

Hopefully this doesn't show 2x, I can't see the original post so am doing again.

We were given these photo's to choose the locations: RECEPTIONS @ AZS.jpg

This is what we were told regarding a civil ceremony:

We have to have 4 witnesses when we arrive and sent everyone's passport photo's and the bride and grooms birth certificates.   We also had to fill out a form for them with all the witness information.  When we arrive we will get our blood tests and have the witnesses sign something (?) and then they also sign at the wedding.  Everything does have to be translated from Spanish to English and that is covered, I believe.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
