It was still on that morning for the sunrise session lol I was too tired to wash it off and knew i wouldn't have the patience to try to redo that early in the AM. I did bring my own makeup, even though they had a good selection of brands there.

I purchased both of my dresses at Davids Bridal surprisingly... I wasn't expecting such a good deal which is why I bought two before I had even planned a TTD session...I actually bought my dresses before I was even engaged soooo LOL

Shalon-- did you get your make up done at the resort for this or did you just beautify yourself? Also, where did you find your TTD dress, I love it? I'm having a hard time finding one...

Takes for the tip about the sand, I'm so glad I didn't buy any.

Awe thanks!  The countdown is on - in 26 days I will be a married woman!  So many things to still prepare!  I think that workplaces should grant brides-to-be pre-wedding leave - paid - similar to maternity leave!!  LOL.

I believe each area can hold around 75-80 easily...the beach likely more. People will be able to see you at either location, but the beach is below the walkway and in the evening you shouldn't be disturbed. If you want privacy, I would suggest the two large banquet rooms in the main lobby building (they also both have private balconies). Good luck with your choice!

We have visited that area in Mexico many times, and it is usually windy (except in the mornings or late evenings when it is usually calmer)

Here is the picture of the heels I bought from Zappos. I wasn't sure about the flower but I think it will grow on me. Let me know what you think. I'll probably wear these for pictures and then wear my white reef flip flops (silver bands) for the actual sand ceremony.Wedding Heels.jpg

Great looking shoes! I am still trying to find some....17 more days til I 'm on a plane Eeekkkk!

Hi ladies,

I just wanted to ask a question about DJ's. Who are you having and did you book through the resort and how much have you paid. I'm still not sure what to do at the moment there are only 18 of us going and was just going to do the Ipod thing, but we have more possibly booking so not quite sure what to do at the moment. Any advise would be great.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
