Azul Sensatori Brides - POST HERE!

I would imagine that you want the photographers to be available the entire night to take pictures correct? If so I don't think its such a good idea to tell them to disappear and come back ...what if they don't come back in time and they miss something really important or something really funny that you wished you got on camera...I mean it comes down to $80 buxs and if its worth it...If I'm not mistaken if you were home you would have to pay for the photographers and the DJ to eat at the reception thats just protocol...but if it is a major concern I would talk to your photographers before making a decision...A week is a long time to spend with someones family...my photographers spent just a weekend with us and they partied and shopped along with us we had all become pretty cool by the end of the trip, I think I would have felt a bit awkward to make her go somewhere else while everyone sat down for the reception...

Anybody thought this through or any past brides that can provide some feedback?

Thx!

Hope everyone had an lovely Christmas and is looking forward to an amazing new year!

Beach brides, what are you wearing for shoes? I love high heels and don't think I can do without them on my wedding day. I think I've read on this thread that the sand isn't that deep and heels would work. Any advice? And have you seen the adorable shoes with the light blue soles? The something blue right on the bottom of your feet. Makes for cute pictures. I also love the blue "I Do" crystals I have seen on Etsy.

I am planning on wearing heels but they're not huge.  I think they are maybe a 2.5 inch heel and super comfy.  I have been looking at other shoes because I really love hot pink/fuschia but I think I am going to stick with ones I know I won't fall over in!  Good luck deciding.  I am also going to buy some cute flip flops that say my new married name for the reception.

I hope all you ladies had a very Merry Christmas and are ready to ring in our New "Wedding" Year!!  I am so anxious for May to get here!!

I am starting my Get in Shape plan soon.  I only have a few pounds to lose but am setting a goal to be "in my best shape" for my wedding day, whatever weight that may be.  :o)

To our December 11th bride, congrats on becoming a MRS.  Glad to hear everything went well and I can't wait to read your review!

Mzgillis, I haven't got to view the video yet, b/c my computer doesn't have the appropriate viewer, so I"m very anxious to watch it tomorrow when I go back to work. I could totally get used to these short weeks!!

I've also gone for heels, they are about 2 1/2inch heel. They are made by Pink Paradox (sherbert), they were ivory but i had them dyed the same colour as my bridesmaid dresses. I love them and cant wait to wear them!!smile72.gif

Hi Ladies - Hope you have all had a fabulous Christmas! I live in Wales and we had snow for the first time in years, its been lovely!

I have managed to set some time aside, finally, to continue with my wedding plans.........and have a few questions, if anyone has any answers I would really appreciate them!

1- If your choosing to have a 'private dinner' where can you choose to hold it? i have 25 guests and was hoping we could all sit togeather away from the hotel, on the beach or something nice and private! if anyone knows what the options are, please advise!

2- On the private dinner menu, can you pick and choose from any of the set menu's and have say a starter from menu 1, main from 2 and desert from 3?? typically all the options I like are not on the same menu!!

3- Is the cocktail hour (after ceremony) free?? where do you choose cocktails from or can you design your own?

If anyone can help on any of the 3 questions that would be great!! off to look at flowers now whilst im in the Wedding Mood!! thanks in advance x

Attached is a file that shows the Private Reception locations.  For the menu, I'm pretty certain you can not pick and choose from different menus.  I believe you can offer two separate options, but you have to notify the resort of each guests dinner preference prior to arrival.  The cocktail hour is not free, unless you have a GI consultant who can get you an incentive.  The pricing for that should be on the same banquet menu as the food.

Hope this helps!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
