Azul Sensatori Brides - POST HERE!

Recommended Posts

We had the  BBQ for our Welcome Party the night before the wedding it was pretty good and alot of food for all of our guest. Regarding the alcohol just make sure you ask for it ...If i'm not mistaken I do remember seeing grey goose but that may have been at my other resort so ill ask a few of my guest...they spent plenty of time hanging out at the bar LOL

I would be surprised if they let you choose on-site (I do corporate events for a living and it costs A LOT MORE to do that) but it's annoying none the less that the hotel wedding coordinator told you that. During our site visit, I got information that I can only HOPE is true from the coordinator giving us a tour (Claudia). For example, she said Grey Goose is served at all the bars and is included - does anyone know if that's true?? I don't see it in the event bar package but I've been bragging to my friends that we'll be drinking the good stuff while we're there. Hope I don't sound like a total lush but we all know that it's the little stuff that makes a difference sometimes :)

Back to the food...I wish the family style wasn't so much more expensive than the plated?! It looks so good. I like the BBQ deluxe menu but it's pretty basic...has anyone had that?

Family-Style here I come!!!

That would NOT have been cool of her to tell me it was included in the room rate. Hopefully it IS available at hotel bars but maybe just not in the bar package for events? I could see why they'd do that (even though I don't like it)...I'll try to find out through my TA (who  is still playing middle man to the Miami WC).

We specifically asked, and were told if we wanted that specific brand that the hotel would bring it in, but we would be charged. That being said they do have Stoli (Stolichnaya vodka) which is also a highend brand. Overall we were pleased with the selection of premium beverages, and of course your daily stocked mini fridge with beer, pop and water!

Maybe it's changed since we were there in April? I love Grey Goose, so I would be thrilled. But I was quite happy with the Stoli too!

We usually have rented a car for a few days, not our whole trip. We have found good prices and service from Excellence Car rental. They'll even pick you up at the resort for free. I think a 4 door car, cost about $45 US a day, and that includes insurance (a must in Mexico- your credit card insurance is NOT valid there !)

I asked my husband if he remembers Grey Goose and he only recalls there being Absolut and Stoli. However, we noticed while we were there that sometimes you have to ask for a particular brand for them to give it to you. We went to one bar and they had Crown Royal on display but none of the others did. Everytime he wanted Crown we walked all the way to that one bar but one day we asked another bartender if they had Crown and it was there, just not on display.

Never thought Vodka would be such a hot topic! Thanks for everyone's input. I'll let you know what I hear back from Angie, I have a list of questions for her today. This is the first time I'll be emailing her directly...we're signing our rooms agreement tonight or tomorrow!!! So excited it's going to be official!!!!!!!!

Hey ladies,

Does anyone know how old you have to be at the adult pool?  And what are the restrictions there, can teens be around the pool, but not in it?  I am really hoping I won't have to worry about "choosing" between my daughter and our wedding guests.  Are there pool bars at the other pools?

ok...my TA just told me today that the resort is sold out and any other guests would have to stay someplace else.  WOW... didn't think that would happen in february.  Nervous about how everything is going to work since my DJ (DJ is FI sisters' boyfriend which works out for us) is now without a room and i don't want to pay another $500.  Last minute people are irritating.  But do you ladies know of nice resorts near by?

Oh no!  Hope it all works out okay.  Have you checked directly with the resort?  Sometimes they have rooms blocked that may become available.

The only resort that's really close by is Azul Beach. Maybe you can avoid paying the outside vendor fee also if you choose to stay with Karisma.

Think the age is 18 for the adult pool. There are 2 other swim up bars I can think of (3 including the adult pool), so no worries there. The other pools are larger as well, so you may find ther is more room and choice of lounge chairs around the other pools.

Wow, can't believe they are sold out. I would agree with Merdith, try calling the resort itself-or even just try the online booking on their website. If not, Secret Silversands is right next door, and quite nice.(adults only-I think) Good luck.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
