My niece is 4 and she didn't want my sister to go with her. She told her, "Mama, I'm going to the movies at the kids club tonight and not parents are allowed!" Lol. My sister also used the nanny services when we wanted to do things at night. PM me if you have any questions about that and I can forward them to her.

How do you like Jennifer so far?

On Delta, your bags would be free. My in-laws flew Delta but we flew Continental and our 2nd bag was $27. The same goes for American and US Airways, also.

Great pictures!  I too am interested in your OOT bag contents...where did you find the "Oh S#!t kit" container and was it filled with the contents already?  And the spanish for dummies - was it the pocket guide you can find on-line?

Thanks for sharing smile159.gif

The lighting on thr trees are provided by the resort. We didn't pay for them. The only thing we had were LED tealights on the tables and paper laterns. We had 6 large and 12 small lanterns and I think that was enough lighting. It wasn't too dark but intimate IMO.

We had the welcome cocktail party the day before the wedding. After that we had a rehearsal dinner (the rehearsal was supposed to be before the cocktail party but that didn't happen). There was also the wedding and reception of course.

The bags came from Dollar Tree!! Yes, they were only $1 and  my mom's friend embroidered them for us as our gift. I have to say I think that was the best find. They're seasonal, though, and they come out in March. They come in yellow, light blue, red, green and hot pink. None of these were my colors but I couldn't pass up the bargain so everyone just has assorted colors. If one of those are your colors though, I would recommend hitting all of the stores in your area if possible and you should be able to get enough. You may also be able to order them by the case but they would have to be assorted if you do it that way.

I wanted to do a slide show but they quoted me $600 for the projector. I think I remember someone saying that just the screen is about half that price.

This is why I shoud really have done a planning thread embarrest.gif. Please forgive me! Most of the items I got from Dollar Tree. The Oh Sh!# Kit was actually a 1st Aid Kit from Dollar Tree and I bought the labels from Office Depot and cut them down to fit the container. The kit came with bandages and gauze I believe. I added a few things to the kit like Motrin, Pepto-Bismol, Zyrtec, and B-complex. I also had info in there about what to do to avoid a hangover. I got the Motrin and Pepto from Ebay (be careful if you decide to do this, I would only get it from top sellers) and I get free Zyrtec samples because I'm a pharmacist.

If anyone wants the template for the Oh Sh!# Kit, just PM me your email address.

The Spanish for Dummies I got from Ebay. Those were $1.50/book. If you just ask some of the sellers on there, they will go down on the price. I did see the pocket guide that you can get online and I was about to do that if I didn't get a good deal on the actual books.

I just wanted to share something that I didn't put in my review.

PUT YOUR DRESS, SHOES AND ACCESSORIES IN YOUR CARRY-ON!!!

My Matron of Honor's luggage was lost and she didn't get it back until an hour before the reception was over. Imagine if she had her dress in there. Her shoes were in the lost luggage and that's why we all decided to wear flip flops as a sign of solidarity. But there's no way around you or a bridesmaid not having a dress. They actually made my mom check my dress which was in a bag with hers, my sister's, my flower girl's and my ring bearer's tux. She actually started crying and I thought she was insane but I understand now what could have gone wrong.

Hey girls,

Just wanted to ask for those of you who have been there, how many of the paper lanterns do you think are needed for Zavaz Plaza?  I have a girl who is going to sell them, and my first thought (based on what she has to sell) is to buy 5 turquoise and 5 white of the 12" lanterns, and then all her little ones, 8", which is about 19.

Sound like a good combo?

They Quoted me $650 for the projector and slide then I think it was $250 for just the slide

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
