Thanks!!

Love it!!!! But I worry about the candles though...unless you are having your reception indoor or somewhere that's protected from the wind...

So, I actually got some wedding planning done this weekend.  I have a ton of DIY projects that I want to get working on.  We got some of our engagement pics in and I love them!!  There are still a ton more to see too.

Here is a pic of our centerpieces.  We are going to have turquoise table runners and I'm considering having sand and seashells on the table, but I'm not sure if the sand will look bad.  So, maybe just some seashells.

These are fabulous photos!!! I LOVE LOVE LOVE the first one where you guys were holding hands walking down the road...

I was hoping to get a seperate room for the night before the wedding so we didnt see each other on the morning of the wedding. Has anyone done this and how much did you pay?

Ive got a package already paid for with the photographer, but was wondering who you would recommend out of the 2 choices the hotel offers? And how long to have them for? As my package only covers and hour and Im not sure how long the wedding etc will take.

I was thinking about getting my hair and make up done at the hotel and was wondering if anyone used their services or did it themselves. Which is better?

First of all welcome Gemma! And this is a great spot to ask questions.

Depending on your number of guests you can have the reception in a number of places. If it's a small group, they set up tables close to the yoga palapa and then the yoga palapa becomes your 'dance floor'. Larger groups you can use the beach BBQ area, Very small groups they set up an inimate area under your own small tent. All the locations on the resort is beautiful, you just have figure out what suits you best.

We are bringing our own photographer, so I can't help there. But usually they suggest about 3-5 hours. This allows for an hour before the wedding for getting ready shots, an hour for the ceremony, 1-2 hours for wedding shots, and if you want anytime at the reception this adds the extra hour. Good luck.

I believe the hotel offers a grooms room, if available depending on the package you purchased.

Most girls that have had their hair/makeup done at the salon have been very happy with the results.

Lomas is owned by Karisma. So that why they are usually the go to company for those types of arrangements. It is also Lomas that supplies all the wedding gear (flowers, table clothes, decoration , etc.)

In need of some real help. Have only just started to make plans for my wedding next April 19th. Have got my dress and wedding rings bought but now starting to think about the details for the resort.

Started to think about colours but finding it really difficult. Was thinking of having all white (flowers, chair cover, bows and organza over the wedding area) but not sure. Does anyone have any pictures they could forward to me to help? Any colour would give me an idea.

Sorry for so many questions, didnt realise getting married abroad would need so much organising and decision making. Thought it was meant to be easier. I was sooo wrong!

Thank in advance for anyones help

I want AS for my wedding! *pouts* lol

I'm from canada and decided to pay for a wedding planner who will do all the dirty work for me=) Not realizing how simple it is to just work with the planner at the resort i want (should have looked into it a bit :S) So i started off filling out an application with my wedding budget, how many ppl will be attending and how much i want my guests to pay etc...

So my wedding planner comes back with AS for my price range and a reasonable price for my guests. My fiance and i checked AS out and fell in love! Then my planner comes back after going to the supplier with alomst double the price we wanted to pay, personaly and for our guests=( I'm so bummed, but she said to wait till mid december to see if prices go down.

I had to vent lol Just curious if anyone was quoted $2300 pp for a week at AS? when i "book" thru their website it comes to $1505....weird.

Nooooo....the price I got for a week is $1120/pp.  Maybe $2300 is per couple??

If that is the price your planner is giving you.....I'd consider looking around for a travel agent and then just using the wedding coordinator at the resort.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
