Azul Sensatori Brides - POST HERE!

Recommended Posts

Thanks to everyone for your feedback on my guest couple who split up question.  I really appreciate all the opinions and support and am going to go with my gut and invite them both, let them know they're welcome to bring a guest of course but also that the ex has been invited too - so they can decide accordingly.  I'll talk to my other friend about it too beforehand just so everyone's comfortable.  Again, thanks for the input.  Much appreciated

I had wanted to find hot pink heels, but wasn't having much luck.  So, when I came across comfy, cute champagne heels for only $9, I bought them.  Then, I thought I would dress 'em up myself.  I like the peacock feathers and I was excited about it, but my fiance made a face.  He wasn't a fan.  And, then upon sending pics to my friends, 2 more said  EH with 2 liking them.  I know I should just do what I want, but I figured I would get all of your opinions.  They will be under my dress, so you really won't see them anyway, but I worry if a lot of people don't like the feather looks, then they may not like my bouquets (as the girl is considering adding some feathers.)  Hmmm.......

Thoughts?huh.gif

I love these.  But I'm a bit partial to peacock feathers as they are being included in my wedding.  (I'm working on making feather bouquets for my BMS and bouts and peacock feathers are included in those because my colours are turquoise and purple).  I think it would look fanTASTIC with fushia shoes too!

Afterwards - I just learned today that the "teen club" transforms at 11pm into an adults only dance club with dj.  My coordinator (who was on site for a 10-10-10 wedding) said that it was more lively than the mojito lounge.  Mojito lounge has some music/bands but definitely more subdued according to my TA - e.g., no dancing.  When I asked if it was "teen like" in appearence - she said no.  Maybe brides that have been can give their opinion on the quality of the teen hangout turns adult only after 11???

I am doing a coctail reception but as a welcome cocktail.  The time in between my ceremony and the reception will probably be less than 1.5 hrs - I am going to advise people to gather at a bar for a drink in between or go back to their room for a siesta if desired!

I'd never heard of this before.  That's great to know - anyone know what time it's open until?  I have a feeling there will be some people (read: many) who will want to keep the party going after the reception.  This might be a good way to do it - as others have said; it's what you make of it and if we have 20-30 people with a DJ there I think it could be a GREAT time.  .....

That would be amazing to have a rep help out with some of our more general questions.  Maybe this would help our WCs have more time to spend on our more detailed requests (quotes, reservations, etc.).  I love it!  Thanks Tammy!

I'm going with eggplant as my colour, probably wont have much of a second colour, but if I do, it would be lime green. i've seen a few pics of those in combo and they look awesome together.

Just my 0.02.

For my wedding  however I am a fan of a deep purple (plum) or burgandy if pushed into a corner to decide.   So...I've looked at a few websites, incl "the knot" and I am not convinced by any one colour as "awesome"....

but I am partial to the plum/purple:

the debate (all including green and likely some white with a plum backdrop):

purple and orange

purple and yellow

purple and lime only

another combo???

My style is- sharp, modern and simple.

Thoughts?

We have gone for the silver package but there are alot of things within the package that we don't require and want to trade them for other things, have any of you's done trades with you WC? If so are they fair trades?

We were not able to trade anything. So we reduced our package and are just adding things on now.

We're getting married January 24. Our colors are turquoise, lime-ish green and white. If that helps we should talk.

Also to any other girls who are getting married January 22-28 (not the 24th), I have a hairstylist and makeup artist coming with us. If anyone needs her, I can put you in contact with her.

Overall it is quite windy on the beach. However if you have the candles in a slightly deeper votive holder it might work out very well. But I would think the ones where the flame is exposed you might run into problems with the wind.

Too funny. I was there in April and had no idea.

Glad I'm not the only one Jamie! LOL

thx!!

Using Weddings By Oceans. Overall they have been quite good. Just sometimes you have to follow up with a few items. But they are handling dealing with the WC for us. So it's nice to deal with someone face to face, and they take care of it for me.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
