Azul Sensatori Brides - POST HERE!

Recommended Posts

All I've gotten from Kiara is the email links to menus, flowers, etc. as well. I have definitely felt completely lost until I found this website. What do other brides do?? I feel like my wedding planning has finally gotten started since I joined this thread, and our wedding is in less than 4 months! Ahh!!

In terms of colors, my bridesmaids are going to wear charcoal colored dresses and my accent colors are different hues of orange and green. I am also bringing paper lanterns for the reception. I just ordered them actually, in "cinnamon" and "latte" colors. All of the other details are slowly coming together!

I can't wait to meet up and watch a few other weddings! What are you doing in terms of colors? I know we are using turquoise, green and white. I plan on bringing down laterns to hang for the reception. As for other details...haven't gotten there yet. LOL

Welcome! Can't wait to see you there!

I was told 6 or 6:30 for spoons as well.  I believe there is more flexiblility in times for private events, but not for the Spoons reservation.  I agree, its early!!

If the group dinner has to be that early - then we are probably going to have a welcome coctail on day 2 and book the spoon dinner at 6:30 as a farewell dinner - this combo is actually looking more appealing to me as I think about it - spreads a little here and there and lets people get back to their rooms to pack or stay out later to enjoy the night.

Hey girls,

Just curious if any of you have gotten an explanation on how the B&G stay free promo works.  I just emailed Carolina to check.  My TA had said it is based on whichever number of nights is most prominent in your rooms, but the contract makes it seem like whatever is the lowest amount.  Most of our guests are booked at 4 nights with some others at 3, 5, and 7 nights.  So, I'm hoping we get at least the 4 night figure back at the end, not just the 3 since that ones the lowest.  Hmmmm

Hello ladies!

The reviews don't look too good for Luxe Destination Weddings so now I'm hesitant.

Do you ladies recommend hiring a wedding planner although one is provided for us by Karisma or can a TA just handle it or is that an additional cost to have them contact the resort's WC regarding wedding details?

Thanks for your help :)

melib2b - how big is your wedding?  I don't think regular TA's provide that service but you may not need a planner either.  My TA was a destination wedding TA, but they were by no means "wedding planners".  The details were left for me to decide and work out with the resort but at least I knew they were in my corner if sh*t really hit the fan. What sort of things do you think you'll need a wedding planner for?  I like to think of this forum as the planner, but that's just me lol.

We are expecting approx. 60 guests.  We'd like the Sky Wedding, a private reception and are interested in June 4, 2011.

I'm nervous that I'm wasting time trying to decide if we need a planner or not and may be losing out on our date, but we can't request a date until we have a TA (the application requets this info).

The planner at Luxe said that it's difficult to get a response and info from the Karisma WC's because they handle so many weddings and it's easier for them to get the info since they've done weddings there before and can also get a faster response from them...that's the reason we're considering hiring them...but if it isn't necessary, I don't want to waste money on that service if the response time for them will be the same response time I'd receive myself.

For the girls having a welcome party, are you doing this as a cocktail type reception, or are you using the included Spoons dinner?

I am paying for a Welcome Party (2 hour Mexican Donkey Cocktail minus the donkey now) on the beach by the Payala Yoga Structure :) I wanted a beach party feel for everyone to get together and have some drinks and get to know each other

I I was told it's based on the number of people who book rooms and the room level price, not the number of nights but my TA who is also my FMIL handled the neogications so maybe I have it wrong.

Speaking of shoes, I am trying to find hot pink heels under 4 inches.  It's a tricky task!! :o)  But, plenty of time!!

Just to warn you.....when i asked for my detail sheet it took over 2 weeks for fabio to respond.  not sure what is so hard about filling in the blanks on an excel spreadsheet, but whatever.....

and, agreed on feeling like i can't do those other things until i have a pretty close to final head count!!  it stinks too....i am most excited about OOT bags!!!  so many great ideas on the forum!!

oh, and love the idea of pink shoes!!!  fun, fun!!!  :)

Melib2b-  i really feel like there is NO need to hire a wedding planner.  i in fact have been completely underwhelmed at the amount of things i have to do, though my wedding isnt until may!!  but, if you are the type of person who stresses over every single detail, you might want to consider it!!  if you find a good TA they can be a huge help!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
