Azul Sensatori Brides - POST HERE!

Recommended Posts

I too would LOVE to see an actual $50 bouquet.  Doesn't seem like they actually exist.  haha

I too have Carolina and had to remind her a few times to update my detail sheet.  I dunno what to say about the WCs these days.  I can only assume they are insanely busy but I agree that it's frustrating because it doesn't really feel like they're actually there to help you.  Just to document or reiterate prices from lomas.

I've added our new brides to the list and will post again soon.

Does anyone else work with Carolina?  I have a hard time getting anywhere with her.  I've asked a few questions and I feel as though I don't really understand her responses.  I still haven't started my spreadsheet, even though I've mentioned it a few times.  I'm gonna be highly upset if my locations end up unavailable!!  They shouldn't since we are getting married on a Monday, but you never know.  So, I'd love to get it in writing.  Guess I'll have to be a little more pushy.  :o)

For the girls having a welcome party, are you doing this as a cocktail type reception, or are you using the included Spoons dinner?

I started booking details right when I booked with AS.  But I don't think you need to worry really.  While some of us like to do everything ahead of the game I don't think it's anything to be concerned about.  You've got plenty of time.  But yes, someone at Karisma should be your wedding coordinator and your contact point for making your decisions/plans

I 've been trying to get a hold of someone at karisma to start planning. I havn't got any details at all done. When did everyone get their plans ready by? I'm getting married in may is it too earlyto start booking vendors?

I'm definitely getting more and more flustered with my WC!  Back in June I asked about reserving a certain location for a rehearsal dinner, and there were a lot of back and forth inquiries (of course each took a month to get a response), then just today she said "sorry, this location is no longer available on that day, but here is a list of other options for you..".  AHHHH.

I can pick another spot, so its not the end of the world, its just extremely frustrating to see something you want get taken because it takes them so gosh darn long to respond!!

Sorry...thats my rant for the day.

I seriously thought about using Luxe too but in the end chose "The wedding Holiday".  What I've learned so far:  all these people serve as the "middle man" between the resort and yourself.  Initally they all say that they get "quicker responses" from the resort because they have a closer relationship then a single bride trying to organize for herself.  But what I find is that they too have to wait 1-2 weeks before they get a response from the resort.  That response time equals what I've seen from many of the brides planning their wedding with the resort anyway.   Also - Azul Sensatori contracts Lomas travel   http://weddings.lomas-travel.com/ for all the stuff you need for the wedding - all you have to do is pick what you want - everything is there - meals, reception, decor etc.  Combine all this with this website and you have all you need to get you organized.  I'm glad I did not pay for any additional services through an agency.   In retrospect - I think I would have booked my wedding through itravel2000 weddings division.  Since they do so much travel business they seem to be able to get quicker responses when it comes to travel bookings/modifications.  Cheers, NV

We have decided on Azul Sensatori...now the real planning begins.

Has anyone used Luxe Destination Weddings?  We are considering hiring them as our travel agent and wedding planner.  However, I have read mixed reviews.  Any feedback will help.

Thanks :)

Hi ladies!  Hope your planning is going well!

Looks like someone took over the list, so cool!!

I saw a few of you asking about bouquets.  I just picked one the resort offered for $50.  It looked way better in person than in the pics.  I think I have it in my planning thread if anyone wanted to check it out.

Wow, one day of work and I'm loaded with things to read. I love it!

I love the purple centerpieces. I'm sure they can create that for you.

The $50 bouquets are on the Lomas website, under standard. I think there is a small one with pastel colors and another tropical one. I would send you a picture of my inspirational bouquets, but I don't think I can attach anything. Still not out of NOOB status!!

I've had really good luck with setting a "conference call" with my WC. If I lock her down for a certain day/time a month, she always makes it. I just detail all the questions I have or ideas and she updates my detail sheet. I get the idea that they don't like booking to recepiton or rehearsal dinner locations so early in advance. Oh well! We have to, to get what we want ladies!!

I just want everyone to know that this site has been so great for me. I love coming home from work and connecting with other people who are going through the same thing. My FI is VERY happy too!  wink.gif Thank you all for being there!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
