Azul Sensatori Brides - POST HERE!

I love the invitiation. What is it wrapped in? I think I found the invitations I want on wedding divas.com, but love the idea of wrapping them creatively. We're also using the starfish theme, you can't go wrong.

And I love the TTD dress you picked. Who are you using for a photographer? And where did you find your dress? I'm getting married in April and really starting to feel the pressure of making all of these decisions :)

The invitation has a beach background and the same pink starfish on it.  :o)

Then, I also purchased just a plain jersey dress for my TTD.

Chong, I love your bouquet. I have been searching everywhere for an inspirationsal picture and can't find anything I love. I'm so happy you were able to... I love orchids. I think I am going to go with white orchids, roses and maybe peonies-- what do you think about that mix?

I want to choose a tropical bouquet with pinks and oranges for mine and the bridesmaids, but how do I differentiate mine if they are all the same colours?  just make mine bigger?  the girls are wearing tuqoise dresses so I am not 100% yet on if I should do orange and pink flowers.  Decisions!!  Chong your bouquet is gorgeous!!  I am trying to stick to budget so am only going to get a 60 bouquet if I can.  Thats why I am unsure how I will differentiate it, maybe will bring some crystals to stick in the bouquet?  that could work.

The resort let you have music for your welcome reception?  We will probably do this as well, but I didn't know you could play music for that.  Do you have to order any special equipment?

Michelle, the invitation is wrapped in crepe paper.  We had originally wanted to put starfish on there, but they would have been harder to mail, and we wanted to get the invites out quickly (during our booking period.)

For a photographer, we are trying to work out a deal with four of us girls getting married the same week.  I believe we may have three that are "in" so far, so I'm hoping it all works out  The price is great and the photos are amazing.  :o

My TTD is from venus.com.  It was only $30.  When day are you getting married in April?

The invites have been mailed, and as far as I know, they all traveled fine.  They were able to go right in an envelope, and there weren't even any extra charges!

Mahalo, I am doing the exact same colors just the week after you!  Let me know what kind of reply or pics you get from the WC. I emailed her my inspiration pics for some pricing estimates, but haven't heard back from her.  Are you doing a beach wedding?  What color tulle are you using on the ceremony site?  What about chair bows?  I was thinking we may be able to share costs!!

I am also using an Ipod for all the events and I was curious how you girls using Ipods were going to announce yourselves at the reception if at all?  I have planned a cocktail while we take pics and then I assumed we would be announced at the reception but as I was reading about the ipods I just realized who does that if you aren't getting a DJ.  Any thoughts? ideas?

Regarding music, I'm planning on using my ipod for my cocktail & reception and will have one of our guests be in charge the whole night.  I'll have the songs prepared in order and let them control the stopping, starting, fixing, volume.  Just put someone you trust in charge of the ipod and enjoy your perfect day!

I think lots of girls use the ipod since its the cheapest route!  ($100-$200 to use speakers i think...dont quote me).  Sorry, I dont have info on their DJs, but I know others on here definitely do.

For My ceremony my Ipod and I am renaming the songs so they say Procession Song 1, Bride Song, Recessional. My WC assures me that they do it hundreds of times a year and it will be good.

For my reception the DJ wasn't in my budget but a friend of ours who is coming is a DJ so I rented the Sound system and mic from the resort ($250) and he is bringing his Ipod and laptop and will be our MC for the evening.

Jamie, What part of Houston do you live in? I live in midtown

I am so happy to hear that the Ipod is a good way to go in regards to music.  I've been stressing over this and now I can relax and move on to the next decision.  Thanks!

I have a party of 25 coming over with me and at the minute im trying to decide whether or not to have a private party or have the free option in one of the restaurants??? but then i have no idea what we will do afterwards, anyone who has any idea please share with me!!

Thanks in advance,

I'm one of the few not doing a private event...I will probably have around the same amount of people....I was thinking of just going to one of the bars after...I don't think my group is huge on the dancing...but some people have said they got drinks and hung in the pool all night....

Another idea that I have yet to discuss with FI because not sure he will like...is to have a night in Cancun afterwards...maybe some of the clubs will do a discount because it is a wedding....

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
