Hi! I've been reading through (quietly researching as you can tell by my lurker status) the various threads as my guy and I are researching various resorts in the Riviera Maya...Azul Sensatori is definitely top 3, mostly due to the sky deck! I LOVE the look of it and the idea of being right at the beach but not ON the beach. Obviously, the hotel as a whole looks amazing and everyone has such wonderful things to say about their experiences there. How cool are the swim up suites?! 

Anyways, I've been lost as to where to start with budget everything. I have numbers in my head but I need to start wrapping my head around all various aspects to come up with a reasonable starting point. I would love to keep it under 20k with about 80ish people. I'm an event manager by profession (corporate events) so I know how things add up! Amanda,your budget sounds pretty reasonable considering what you're getting and where you're getting it! Would you mind sending me your detail sheet? If that's too personal, maybe just some of the hotel elements? P.S. Chivarri chairs are a must for me! :)

Hey girls,

 

I got my bridesmaid dress from China today.  I ordered just one for my daughter and the smallest size they offer is a 4 so it's big on her.  I can't decide if I want to keep it or keep looking. 

 

 

Grr, well I am trying to copy and paste the pic in, or attach it and neither are working!!!   BOOOOOsad.gif

I love it!  I love the color, material, the way it flows...everything!  The material has a slightly wrinkled look, so you don't have to worry about it getting messed up during travel.

 

What company did you go through?

Chong, did you send inspiration pics, or get a size back from the WC to show what the $60 bouqets look like?  I'd love to see!  I sent some inspiration pics a few days back to see what they would charge for something similar.  I've heard girls say they send pics and they get back an estimate of $300!!!  CRAZY :o)

Awe, thanks Jaime.  She can be a doll but she's at that pain in the butt age, trying to be bigger than she is!  Still my baby though. 

 

I don't remember the company name.  It was on ebay and I made an offer and they accepted it.  It was $68 with shipping of $28.  I just wonder how much more alterations will be.  I put it on me, and felt like it made me a little bigger than I am.  Don't know if my BM gals will like that!!

 I don't post often...I just take it all in!  But being a newer poster, I thought I would answer Meli what I have found thus far.

If you go thru many of these posts, you will see that pricing/options, and extra's can be negotiated and rates do change.  Get all your info in writing as many of the WC change and it will serve as a back up. If you want the sky wedding, you better lock it in ahead of time as that sells out.  AND if you know other locations --the ladies here are very helpful with advise, you should lock that in too.

The GI's on the site...some I found to be very good, and others not so much.  Ironically, the one I am using flat out told me that this day is about what makes me happy and she is an advocate for the bride and not the resort, so if Azul isn't going to be a good fit, then we can look eslewhere.  I was stunned as that was the perfect answer so I booked with her!  (oh and other girls on here are using her too, so that added to my confidence).  What you will find is the GI's get some extra's for your wedding and a head's up on promotions and frankly, they know many people at the resort and the WC's so they can push for quicker answers.

Anyway---good luck.  If you read thru these posts (and there are a lot of them) you will see the rollercoaster of emotions, from frustration to joy, to stress.   It is surely a wild ride!

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010.       Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations.
