I am so sorry to hear about your experince with DW.com. I have a great experience with DW.com and my TA is super awesome. We really didn't have too much crazy stuff for her to save the day but she's been always very responsive and take care all the requests very timely manner. She did get us the free wedding package even though we didn't book the premium suite.

I hope you get what you are looking for. It's not too late to change your TA if you are unsatisfied.

Soo frustrated right now, and really not able to enjoy planning this wedding.  smile41.gif

I LOVE your pictures! thanks for sharing. I am so excited about the honeymoon breakfast :) Looks delicious!

I am having a beach reception and plan to have dance floor. I am just wondering if the dance floor is necessary. I do like the idea of it but it's $250. Other places don't require dance floor but i thought the beach reception would... any suggestions?

You look gorgeous!!  I love wedding pics!  I wanted to ask you how did you feel about your photograhper and the package you chose?  I am going to go with the photographer AS provides but am unsure on what package we should get.  Was there something you would have done differently?  Thoughts??  thank you!!

Well I was trying to reply to mshannon and her pics!  Oh forgive me I'm obviously still in noob status for a reason lol!  Has anyone else been happy with the Caribe photographers?  bringing a photographer with us is not an option so i am hoping for the best with Caribe.

While I am here I also wanted to ask about staying a second week.  Our guests are staying April 20-27 and our wedding is April 25, but we want to stay an additional week for our honeymoon after our guests leave.  I have been waiting several weeks for the supplier to give me prices.  My TA (who is from destinationweddings.com btw, and who I think has been fantastic) has been in communication with me the whole time, he was waiting on their quotes.  So long story short, I asked for what it will cost to stay an extra week at AS and also for quotes at what the cost would be to stay at the adult only ElDorado.  I am hoping there was a miscommunication (I also asked about premium room prices to see if we could qualify for the free wedding so maybe TA got confused about what I wanted?) so I am hoping the quotes only reflect the premium prices, but he quoted me 3300 pp to stay an extra week at ElDorado.  I am hoping this is a big misunderstanding, bc there is no way we can afford 3300 pp to stay an extra week.  I am just fine with staying at AS for another week if it is a reasonable price, 3300 is crazy, we are only paying 1540 pp for AS for the week in the first place, how much more can it cost for an extra week, the flight is already paid for in the first week price.  Maybe I am wrong, I am very confused!!  I just wrote my TA to clarify the situation and find out what affordable options we have.  Sorry for the long post, but need to vent and don't feel my family will understand if I tried to explain lol!  Also my FI will probably have a heart attack if I tell him the quotes I just got lol.  well, let me know if you ladies have any advice, thank you!

Number one that is crazy because I am having my bachlorette in the Spring in Philly as well and we both live in Houston and getting married at the same resort. Weird!

Second, I heard from Meredith. They had a family emergency and she isn't able to come to Houston this weekend. She TXT me on Tues.

We haven't picked our wedding package yet, but my TA is a GI wedding consultant.  Is he going to let me in on this after we pick our wedding package?  Or am I gonna miss out on this b/c I'm Canadian.  Why do I have a feeling I won't be getting this?  Oh Well, it's worth a try!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
