Azul Sensatori Brides - POST HERE!

Recommended Posts

Thanks to everyone for your opinions on the BM dresses.  I totally appreciate it.  I think that if a) my sister (MOH) wants to, I'm going to go with her in purple and everyone else in turquoise.  I'm relieved that none of you think the 2 colors is too much!  I'm kind of excited at the vision of pulling it all together now.   (Of course, theme is still beach and main color still White!  haha)

I went back and forth about it but in the process of me deciding I had my sister (MOH) say that she was hooked on the purple I picked out and didn't want to change and I had my friend (BM) say that she thought she would look good in the bronze....so I decided to put my MOH and MtOH in one color and the BMs in another. I have 5 girls so don't feel bad. I actually was supposed to have 6 but you may have seen my post about my lovely "friend" that declined. (Back to topic) I LOVE the purple and turquoise together and was about to switch my colors (I like the way peacock feathers tie in with it) but my friend had already purchased her bronze dress. So, once again, if you look at my pics (not sure how much time you have since we don't have tickers) and don't like the dresses in two different colors, you know what NOT to do. Lol!

Oh right... I remember all that now.  I love your dresses!  They're going to look awesome.  I have tonnes of time still (May 27, 2011) so I'll be sure to think on it for a bit too.  And I too think the peacock feather idea is a GREAT inspiration. Thanks so much for your input!

You should check with your WC b/c I was told that you are not allow to bring your own decoration, use of mic, play your own music or make speeches, etc if you use the group reservation which is included in the wedding package. I am sure you can negotiate this but check with your WC first about the decorations. Also, you should consider having a private event if you are qualify for 20% off a private event promotion. We decided to do ours (just the reception rather than cocktail hour) due to the fact that we got 20% off.

I sent an email to ask that...because I was also wondering what happens to all the flowers that  are on the Gazebo..do we get to take those and use them for centerpeices or is that just for the ceremony.

I don't think I qualify for the 20% off...not doing a group agreement..it was too soon for most of the people invited to fully commit (I have my mom and one of my MOHs for sure) .  My TA said that later on if I have enough for a group...then she could try to negotiate and change to that...

I think there was a different promotion for that too...but because my wedding is so far out..they wouldn't give me that. I'm not too upset...got the room upgrade and the Free Wedding..I'm good for now and I'm sure there will be some amazing promotions throughout next year...

I think I'm ok with not doing a private event...but if I can get a really good price on it..we'll see...

It says we have to wash our hair before coming to the salon. Is this true, anyone? they don't wash our hair???

They tell you not to wash your hair because it is easier to style (especially for an updo) if the natural oils are there.  Hair holds shape better than if it is soft and conditioned :)

Hey ladies,

Good morning! I'm slipping this post in before work. but I was up all night thinking about this so if any one can offer suggestions please respond.  Ok. FI and I originally decided to switch resorts from AS to  an Eldoroado for our honeymoon.  we booked the honeymoon suit at AS but really wondering if switching resorts is truely worth it.  Are the Eldorados better than AS? Does anyone know how nice the honeymoon suit is at AS?  Has anyone seen any of the Eldorado resorts?  Need help making a decision so all your ladies advice is appreciated.

I was considering going to the El Dorado for a night or two as well.

Girls, when you get 20% off a private event, say your reception - what exactly does it take 20% off of?  And I read that someone asked about the ceremony flowers, are they transferred to the reception site?

And, is it lame to not hold a cocktail party and just have guests mingle at a lounge/bar for an hour?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
