Good god girl!  You are crazy organized!!!  And I thought I was bad.  This was the nice thing about AB.  Since it's so small, we'd just be walking from one place to another and be able to catch people as they checked in.  I loved that!

Ok looking for opinions here.  Originally I wasn't really into having a "color scheme".  I figured my wedding color was "white" and my theme was "beach".  rolleyes.gif  I knew there would be color involved through the BM dresses and figured that would influence. So, I found BM dresses that I really like and there are 2 colors that I like - turquoise and purple.  I thought that it might be cool to have 1/2 and 1/2 (I have 6 in my bridal party... huge, I know)...  Then I was worried that 2 colors would be too busy (although I like the look of them together) and that I'd go with purple and then use turquoise as an accent color.

Since then 2 of the BMs have voted turquoise (I was surprised), 2 don't care and 2 haven't been canvassed.  Long story long - do you think having both purple AND turquoise BM dresses is too much?!  If so.... would you vote all purple or turquoise?  (the purple is called "plum" - but it's not nearly that dark).

Here's a link to the dresses if you're interested.  The style is BM1277 but the colors I'm looking at are the "plum" and "turquoise".

Thanks for your opinions.  Sorry so long!

Hmm, I can't see anywhere to look at the color options, but I LOVE the dresses.  Super cute!!

Well if we still had the ticker mine would say "3 DAYS!!!!"  I can't believe it's here already.  We're on the way to the courthouse now to do the legal ceremony and then we leave for Mexico early tomorrow morning.  I've been packing and getting everything together which is why I haven't been on here in a week but we're pretty much ready to go.  I forgot to take pictures of everything for my planning thread before I packed it so I guess I'll take pictures in Mexico when we unpack.

Adios Ladies!!!!  I'll definitely post some info when I get back.

BTW:  Amybermuda I loved, loved, loved your pics!!!!!

Wow.. time flies. Enjoy your time in AS!!! Have a beautiful wedding. Can't wait till to hear all about it when you get back. Congrats!!!

Thanx :)

You should check with your WC b/c I was told that you are not allow to bring your own decoration, use of mic, play your own music or make speeches, etc if you use the group reservation which is included in the wedding package. I am sure you can negotiate this but check with your WC first about the decorations. Also, you should consider having a private event if you are qualify for 20% off a private event promotion. We decided to do ours (just the reception rather than cocktail hour) due to the fact that we got 20% off.

Wow. you are super organized. I was going to give everyone their OOT bag when we meet on Fri night for dinner. I might have consider doing what you did. Did you guys have cell phone? I am just trying to see how we all are going to make it through with the cell phones.

I LOVE your theme - BEACH! I agree with others - you can pull off both colors. Now you have to think about the flowers... how it's all going to tie together.

My make-up is covered but might need my hair done. Also, some of BM's and MOB will want thier hair done too. I would love to pay for this but have no idea what to expect.

My WC sent me over the PDF's but the proces are really steep for the bridal packages and I don't need all of that anyway. Is there a place I can find the a la carte prices?

I think I am doing the bridal hair for $85. I was told that this for up do's and if any of my bridesmaids wants to have up do's, this is the option they have to pick. If not, they can pick $44 shampoo and blow dry. I haven't decided on the hair style yet but might be partially up or all up.

It says we have to wash our hair before coming to the salon. Is this true, anyone? they don't wash our hair???

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
