We havea guest satying for 3 nights in the cheapest room. I think that was $467 and then multiply that number by 2 (since it is bride and groom stay free) and you can subtract that from the toal you owe from your room.It is important to note that the discount is a refund after your stay and not a true discount. Not amazing, but hey I'll take it...another $950 saved!

And Meredith, yes that's what we did. We were already booked but we particpated and got an upgrade. Ask your TA about it.

Okay, so we have plenty of people coming.  I would assume you can't get both the B&G stay free and the premium suite stay with the "free" $2500 wedding, correct?  Or maybe our rooms will add up to be enough for that, I don't know!!!  I'm so confused!!

And what kind of upgrade did you get? I participated in the webinar before I booked but like you said, I didn't book within the 10 days.

I missed a few that arrived early but I just called the front desk, found their room and walked it over to them.

Man, you are sooo organized!!  I need to snag your brain for the next ten months! :o)

My make-up is covered but might need my hair done. Also, some of BM's and MOB will want thier hair done too. I would love to pay for this but have no idea what to expect.

My WC sent me over the PDF's but the proces are really steep for the bridal packages and I don't need all of that anyway. Is there a place I can find the a la carte prices?

Looks like bridal hairstyles are $85 - doesn't give any other up-do pricing so I would assume that would be for all members of bridal party (kinda pricey)

Ok looking for opinions here.  Originally I wasn't really into having a "color scheme".  I figured my wedding color was "white" and my theme was "beach".  rolleyes.gif  I knew there would be color involved through the BM dresses and figured that would influence. So, I found BM dresses that I really like and there are 2 colors that I like - turquoise and purple.  I thought that it might be cool to have 1/2 and 1/2 (I have 6 in my bridal party... huge, I know)...  Then I was worried that 2 colors would be too busy (although I like the look of them together) and that I'd go with purple and then use turquoise as an accent color.

Since then 2 of the BMs have voted turquoise (I was surprised), 2 don't care and 2 haven't been canvassed.  Long story long - do you think having both purple AND turquoise BM dresses is too much?!  If so.... would you vote all purple or turquoise?  (the purple is called "plum" - but it's not nearly that dark).

Here's a link to the dresses if you're interested.  The style is BM1277 but the colors I'm looking at are the "plum" and "turquoise".

Thanks for your opinions.  Sorry so long!

Looking at the dress, I totally think you could pull off both colors; If it's too much maybe put the Maid of Honor in one color and everyone else in the other? I think with a shorter dress you can get away with both for sure!

They are sooo precious!!! I am a sucker for special needs puppies too!  My chihuahua was not rescued because of his many issues, but now is so much better!

I was orginally shooting for May 2012 but had to change due to my grandparents and My mom thinking 2 years was too long for their health! They seems fine to me but when you take some of Mom's money I guess you have to know what to give into! :)

Love your Dogs too...I love everyone's dogs....if we go to a party or someone's house for anything..you will find me sitting on the floor with the dogs instead of mingling :)
I am hoping this photo thing I am about to do works! I have 2 blind from birth poodles. Xander and Leonitis. Xander is the big one and Leo is the little one! We got them from a rescue here in Houston. We took Xander because I am a sucker for special needs. 3 years later the same rescue called us up and said we have another blind dog, would you like it. I don't dress them up very often but the Dog Groomer will do it during the holidays and take their pics for a small fee. She is going to take a pic of them in Tuxes for my favor card!

Congrats on your confirmation Lauren!  I submitted ours last week and still haven't heard back.  Stinks just waiting!  I feel like I have sooo much to figure out before the ball will even get rolling.

The water is a bit of a downer for me as well.  Some pics are good and some are bad.  I guess it just depends on the day.  So, hopefully all our wedding days will be the better days :o)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
