I have my TA and WC checking on the 1st part...FI and I are staying 14 days in a regular swim up suite..not premium..and I'm trying to get them to agree that 14 nights there is comparable to 7 in premium....

I'll let you know when I hear back from them.
Yeah.. that sounds about right - min of 7 nights staying in a premium suite and min of 15 rooms booked. I didn't think that I would get the free sweet package but my TA must have negotiated with my WC. I didn't ask too many questions since I got it when I just asked for it.

How did you guys pack all your OOT bags and gifts? Did you take boxes or old suitcases with you to Mexico? My FI is worried about how we are going to take all our stuff with us. Any suggestions? I was told not to mail some of the stuff to AS in advance.

By the way... I had a very long and exciting day. I had few of my girlfriends over at my place and we packed OOT bag, put ribbons on stuff, cut tags and made some props! I am so thankful that they were willing to help doing some of the tedious work for only food and drinks! and.. of course for a good time. I feel like I am getting so close to the wedding. I cannot wait till I am done planning!

One of the things we made was the fake mustache and lips as props for our guest picture book. It was so much fun!!!

FYI - I have reached the junior status!!! Horay!!!!

LOL I find myself referring to the forum frequently and my close family and friends look at me like I'm visiting the underworld. LOL
Mine too! It's sad when you start to 2nd guess whether you should say where you got a piece of info. I'll just say "oh guess what I found out", and of course someone will ask well how did you? I just want to scream, "where do I find out all my info? The forum!!"

If someone's an ahole, my commission on the sales just seems like it doesn't even matter anymore and I don't care if they get the product... people get me on their team to help them, golden, I'll take perfect care of them forever. This is how Kiara and I worked out, the two of us were a team. I'd ask how her weekend was, send her pictures of me on Halloween and she'd do the same back, we became friends, she really is a great girl but she get's freaked out and yelled at by brides every day, so if you don't stand out, you're just another bride to tiptoe around.

This is hysterical!! I love it! I too on Thursday came over my BF's house to make shrimp & veggie kabobs and she pulled out Old Bay and said "use this" and I immediately think of Amy of course and I was like, "what, you've NEVER used this before" she's like, "I know I just bought it!" Seriously we've been cooking with each other once a week for 12 years and this is the first time she's ever used it.
Not gonna give up either. My philosophy is kill them with kindness. All of my jobs prior were in sales so I know how I want to be treated as a salesperson. I too would never go above and beyond for those that acted like they were "entitled" or rude so I know what you mean. Too bad I don't have a WC at the present monent to kill with kindness. Hopefully Fabio can sort it all out soon.

Bet ya would've never even paid attention to the change of seasoning if AmyB didn't post that pic, huh?! Lol.

I was watching Top Chef Wednesday and saw the seasoning that AmyB is using for her AHR! Never heard of or saw it before this. I think it's because I'm from NO and we have our own local seasoning. Who knows?

And, I watched Big Brother Wednesday (or maybe it was Tuesday) and one of the houseguests was trying to spell journeyman to win a challenge. I was like "I know what that is now!!" It's sad how the silly things make me happy these days.
Old Bay is DELICIOUS!!! WE cook fish almost every night (due to our wedding diet)...a little salt, pepper, old bay, and lemon juice makes it taste soooo good!!!

Congratulations on Junior status! woot.gif

Cute job on the props! I am sure the pictures will be fabulous.

For the avatar photo...it took me forever...but I tried downloading a picture from my computer (which the file size was too large). So I simply cut and pasted the photo into Paintbrush and changed the file size in there. Then resaved the 'new' photo to the desktop and uploaded to BDW. Hope that helps.

As for OOT bags. I am sewing all the bags myself, so I can customize the colors. And other than a few small items, we play on buying a lot of the fillers once we arrive in Mexico (we get there 3 days ahead of guests). That's how we are trying to cut down bulk, but I am sure it will still take a small duffel at least for me to take it down with us.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
