I like the 1st one better but we'll probably use the second for chapsticks and things like that.
I like them both. I actually really love the 2nd one with the birdies. (Hummingbirds are awesome)

My guy SAYS that it's all up to me, but really I know he'd be disappointed if he weren't involved. So I try and do the research on things and then get his input on final choices (do you like the blue or the purple haha... things like that). He's fully in charge of all things groomsmen related and he was also totally excited about the cigar roller!!

Sorry, it wasn't meant to bring anyone down sad.gif I think both cases have advantages. You will have a wonderful trip! And I think one of the other Memorial Brides said it best- 'it's likely your groups that are going to make it busy'. But what a party it will be :)

FI was in charge of stuffing STD's and invitations. Now he is onto GM clothing and choosing what color shirt he plans on wearing (he bought a white linen suit). He will be the one dealing with the jeweler for our wedding bands. And once we start the process of our cocktail reception and wedding dinner reception- he's in charge! He was a former chef, so he knows way more about it than I would.

Ooooo.....love that idea! Sounds like a lot of fun :) We had planned on doing a 'wedding mascot'. A little toy/stuffed animal/etc. that would randomly make it's way into photos.

While my DH didn't plan anything himself, he gave a lot of input. I would narrow down our options and he would make the final decisions: dinner menu, wedding invitation and AHR invitation wording, photographer (we chose this together), song lists, excursions, etc. I loved it that he actually had opinions and would have gone crazy deciding between things without his input. He was really helpful with the AHR. Since it was local that involved a lot of phone calls and reservations. I gave him those jobs.

I love this idea!!!! So fun and unique! I would totally get into this if I were one of your guests.

Great job Amanda! I love both, I'd definitely use them for different things.

Hmmm freaking NOTHING! OMG, I couldn't even fathom what I would have done if DH had asked what he could do unsolicited or without tears coming first. I'm pretty type A so I did most everything myself and just ran things by him. I'd narrow it down to a few options and see what he thought but ultimately decide myself. He didn't agree with me on quite a few things... until we got there.

His reaction to the wedding, ceremony, reception and everything was ALMOST as if he were a guest to it. I remember him telling me, "Wow, Amy, this is unbelieveable! You did a great job, I love it all, I didn't even realize how amazing it was." Mmmmhmmm. My husband, a guest at our own wedding.

That's our relationship though, I'm more controlling and in charge so he kinda has to be like that. Delegate to friends you trust, they were the best!

Of course...hopefully we won't be leaving the hotel room much anyway...hee hee.
I remember that... We also stayed at five star resort (all inclusive) Wyndham but it really wasn't five start resort. We did not like the food so we went into the town every night to eat. I would highly recommend that you stay near the downtown area and go out to eat. the view was great~ the room was OK. The food is pretty good near the downtown area and more stuff to do. you can ride the taxi to go anywhere around the island... but very small :) we LOVE scuba diving in Cozumel... easy and beautiful. last year we went and dove for 2-3 times a day for 5 days. we have a great contact for scuba diving if you need one.

Same boat! I've been ordering stuff for the OOT bags and decorations and favors and whenever a box comes he gets excited and says "oooh what's that?" Then he says that's nice what are you going to do with it. I say WE'RE putting these in the OOT bags. He just says oh ok and when another box comes the cycle starts again. Whenever I did ask his opinion he would say "what do you think" and that starts an argument because I say if I wanted to decide I wouldn't have asked you. So I've learned to just run things by him and say this is what we're doing and he says ok. He's very visual so nothing is really real to him until he sees it.

The pearl package seems to include the flowers but it does NOT include all the amenities of the honeymoon package from what I can see. Romantic dinner/champagne to room/1/2hr massage lesson/ guaranteed king bed/daily towel arrangement/bathrobes.

Seems if you qualify for it the Free Wedding is a way better deal (add on the bouquet & bout). But you have to be staying the the higher level suite in order to do so... I guess that's the hitch.

I actually didn't even notice that the Free Sweet Wedding package did not include the flowers until you mentioned it.

Maggie,

I am so sorry to hear about this. Last time I talked to you, you were so excited about finally settling with AS. But sounds like you got it all worked out. You can vent any time :)

I leave tomorrow night on a red eye to Baltimore. Heading home for a weekend full of activities including my son's 1st birthday party and my bridal shower brunch. Should be a lot of fun but I am already dreading all that travel and all the events in just 3 days. Wish me luck.

Ha... I know. I was afraid to leave for 4 days. My FI is making fun of me for sitting front of this computer AGAIN for hours. I am not sure if I caught on everything yet...

Have fun in Baltimore! I am going to MD to see my parents and Philly to see my friends (bachelorette/bridal shower) on the labor day weekend. I am so excited! I miss home. This hot weather hasn't been helping...

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
