I may have to steal your idea of the page of things to do in Mexico! I think that's such a great idea to help guests plan ahead! :)
Love your website! So cute :)

Lindz, I went to hobby lobby and bought clear containers with Lids and hot glued a hot pink bow(my colors) on it. The container was for each guest to take home sand in. I love going to my friends house and seeing their little sand jar, soo cute

How fun!!! Iâ€m going to a meet & greet one day, itâ€s gonna happen, Iâ€m so down!

I almost wore one of DHâ€s shirts but ended up with his black tie from our engagement shoot, I love those photos!

Oh weird, I emailed you right away! Might have gone into your spam, Iâ€m going to PM you with it now!

I didnâ€t do favors persay, from what I kept reading people donâ€t care about favors really, like trinket like stuff. I did OOT bags and on every place setting in my little birds nest were the 5 light green speckled mint chocolate Jordan almonds in a little organza pouch which is the Italian tradition. So it was something little but not really a favor. The cigars went over bigger than anything so I kinda consider that a favor as well, LOL 

Man, I would have LOVE to be a guest at your wedding Amy!!! Im pretty sure you thought of EVERYTHING cheer2.gif

HAHA! I totally didn't think of everything and I definitely forgot stuff too!

I would have loved to have been a guest at all your girls weddings, I think I'd have more fun at your girls weddings, watching you plan it and going through all the rough times with you and experiencing the final product :)

I plan to do OOT bags. Having a larger wedding it might end up getting pretty costly, depending on what goes in them. So we'll see what actually ends up going in them in the end. blush2.gif I'm DEFINITELY going to do either beer koozies or stadium cups that have a logo on them so that everyone can sort of "recognize" who's there with our group.

also, we're planning to copy amykh and have the cigar roller so we might have matches done up, with the same logo as "favours" for everyone's table setting.

Marla and Miriam GREAT WEBSITES!! They're both wonderful. Congrats on all that hard work.

I had menu cards on the tables and then these cute felt bags with candy in them and a note that a donation was made in our guests honor to the American Cancer Society (FI's Dad died of leukemia). It was cute but I don't think it was all necessary. They decorated the table with nice plates and fancy napkins, so that with the centerpieces and the table numbering and I had hot pink table runners, it really would have been just as nice with out it all!

I wish I had done beer koozies too - I love koozies!!! People did not really use the cups we made them. I found it easier to spot people with the bags we bought for the OOT bag (everyone used them for their sunglasses, book, suntan lotion, etc) or with the key card holder on a lanyard around their necks.

Yeah, it's a bit sad when it wears off. But have no fear, it'll come back for your AHR!

Neither. I had grand ideas of things I wanted to do for favors, but DH convinced me that our families weren't the keepsake kind of people. And he was right. Anything we gave them would have most likely ended up in the trash. If we'd had friends there it might have been a different story.

Our "favor" to our guests was a sailing trip.

Thats exactly what I wanted out of it. We are actually in the same boat b/c we have lived together for almost 3 years so have most of what we need. We may still register for a few nicer things than what we have but not a lot.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
