Hey Wendy! You totally have to tell me about all the details of your catamaran trip... even the surprises...seeing as we will have to cancel that...unless they can bring the catamaran to Puerto Vallarta! LOL
I'm totally going to have to check out your wedding pics! This is so exciting getting to see everyone's hard work put together. I love the pic you have on your siggy! I imagine you must have had an amazing wedding.

I guess by now Katie would also be married.... I'm so jealous of you girls but super happy for you also. I'm totally enjoying snooping on all of your photos! I just wish my day was here now!

I googled the MP3's and used Napster...but Napster had the best quality! They may have a special right now where you sign up for a free trial. You can just cancel after you are done. Lemme know if you need anymore help!
Thank you we actually figured it out, we burnt them on a cd and then it converted them.

I can sleep because I am soo exhausted getting ready. I am in the process of finishing up report cards and clearing out my classroom by Friday, which is when we leave! Well, technically Saturday at 3:00 am we have to leave for the airport.

Your time will be here before you know it! And then you'll be wishing you could get married all over again b/c it was soooooo fantastic!

Sadly, I have bad news about the catamaran. We had to cancel it because of rain. It POURED rain from Wednesday when we arrived until Saturday morning (wedding day). We were super bummed about having to cancel it. The company was awesome and had my refund in my account by Monday morning. We ended up taking everyone into PM for dinner since a few people that had been there all week were a bit stir crazy from the rain.

I'm sure there are catamaran trips in PV, too, so don't frett. AmyB took her guests on the catamaran for snorkeling. AmyB, any surprises?

Thanks for the compliment on my siggy. I looooooove my wedding photos. LOL but every bride loves their photos! I think since you last checked in myself, Katie, AmyB, and AmyF are all MRS. now! Meghan's next!!!

I had a hard time coming on here for a while, I would literally start crying about the wedding I had lost and was looking forward to for so long but it was nuts because I was sooo happy about the baby... I guess I can just blame the crazy hormones!

It looks like we will be switching to Dreams Puerto Vallarta for April 2011. Our TA basically told us there was no way we could get the same rate at AS, but I'm not even sure they checked into it. Oh well... Dreams PV looks like a beautiful resort, however it really sucks starting all the plans and travel arrangments again from scratch.

I've got a lot of snooping to catch up on... I can't wait to see pic's from the weddings I've miss recently... especially Amy (Kittenheart) with all of the detail you put into yours...I'm sure it was absoltely amazing! As well as everyone's else's!

Good luck to all my old friends and to all the new ladies on this thread! I'll have to check back every once in a while and see how it's going!

Crista
Congrats again! I'm happy you found another resort you're happy about and that the pregnancy is going well. How far along are you now?

I love Vegas and I'm pretty confident it may be our best trip ever we're looking at 30-34 people, I've never been to Vegas with that many friends before!

I even have 2 dresses again, one for ceremony, one for partying and clubbin' afterwards. Can't believe it! LOL smile41.gif
Can't wait to see pics of these dresses!!

The catamaran was amazing. We went for 4 hours. They picked us up in a huge bus and drove us the 50-60 mins to Puerto Adventuras. The boat was new and gorgeous and the staff were super fun. We drank beers and rum punches and did the best snorkeling I have ever done. It was a bit scary at times b/c we were like less than a foot away from the coral.

My in laws sponsored the trip and told Mark it was for a wedding. Let me tell you - they were great! They had flowers on the boat, and did a little special thing (I am not going to tell in case other brides are doing the cat and they should be surprised too!) for the bride & groom. It was fabulous. My in laws were super happy that it turned out so well and my parents were impressed so it was all good.

Yay Meghan!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just pack everything you can think of and you can organize and do last minute things in mexico - while eating breakfast from room service on your terrace and basking in the sun. Oh you are going to have such a great time! Dont forget to print every email you have in your wedding file and all of your inspiration pics - hair, make up, flowers, table set up, etc. Go over every little detail you want them to do. They folded my napkins weird and I wish I had told them I wanted my napkins folded into a rectangle and placed on the plates. So, if you have something set in your mind, no matter how small, tell them. They will do everything you tell them to do.

And have fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You are so close, just keep going, don't stop. I carried a little notebook and made notes every time I thought of them so I didn't forget, that helped immensely since I'm sure your mind is RACING right now.

Oh I'm so excited for you!!! The best advice I got the week before my wedding was during the ceremony to listen, listen to every word the minister speaks, just pay attention and be there in that moment. As for the reception, it will be over before you know it so take a moment every hour if you can and take it all in and don't let your husband out of site for too long. A minute can turn into an hour and one of my good friends let this happen and she doesn't have a single picture of her and her husband at the reception since she was dancing and he was talking to his boys all night.

Not that you'll do ANY of this, I just really appreciated this advice and followed it closely.

Also make sure you're well rested for wedding day. I took some Tylenol PM the night before, set my alarm for 8 hours of sleep and wokeup feeling amazing on my wedding day. Yes, drugs are bad but that was so worth it :)

You're going to have an amazing time, I'm all tingly just knowing what you're about to experience!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
