Don't listen to the Miami WC, you can bring a vendor from anywhere, US, Mexico etc. I noticed the onsite WC (Loma's people) accomodated our vendors, US & Mexican VERY well, waaaaayyy better than expected.

YAY! I'll be thinking about you in Vegas Wendy, so cute we share a day of celebrations :)
My Costco trip is Thursday, nails, tanning and working out and done!

Found out while at my hair dressers this Saturday she just happens to be in Vegas this weekend staying at my same hotel!! She offered to do my hair (same one who went to our wedding) for free again and wants to party with us. I was already going to invite her but thought she may not be able to get off work, crazy!

Hello beautiful fellow brides,

I WAS WONDERING IF ANY OF YOU WOULD BE INTERESTED IN SHARING PHOTOGRAPHERS =)

We have already booked Artistique Photographie for our wedding at Azul Sensatori in Puerto Morelos, Mexico on November 14th, and I was wondering if anyone would be interested in sharing them and in saving on travel fees? They are an award-wining duo, they are young and fun and they have been very honest with us and accommodating. They're images are beautiful, just check out their portfolio. We are really excited to work with them and I'm sure you would love them too. They are not one of those vendors that will give you set hours and charge ridiculous amounts for any extra hours of work. They will shoot THE WHOLE DAY OF THE WEDDING. We got a super deal off of what they normally charge and Michelle said she would honor our package for any other brides November 4th through the 22nd. They will CUT THE AIRFARE IN HALF too so it is even a better deal. Here is what we are getting:

Two photographers

Rehearsal dinner coverage the night before the wedding

Unlimited time coverage on the wedding day

TDD or "Day After" shoot

Unlimited locations on the wedding day

Unlimited images taken (you will have between 800-1200 typically)

Wedding digital negatives

Wedding Montage DVD

Website ordering for 1 year

Airfare and lodging for two

Mexican work visa

They have a listing in the vendor market place where you can see some of their work and a link to their website:

Feel free to contact me with any questions or if you contact Michelle directly, just let her know that I sent you.

Can't wait to see them!!! They are AWESOME I bet!

Hope this helps! I think they did a great job of recreating what I sent them.
They are so pretty!!! I think they did a great job!

That is good karma on the hairdresser. I was just looking at my invite list the other day thinking I need to invite a friend who can do hair and talk them into doing mine!

Maybe you girls can help- my FI and I are looking for his suit. We're looking for a nice khaki suit (I am picturing him wearing it with a linen-type white shirt, top two buttons unbuttoned..). We have been to Nordstrom, Macy's, Bloomies, Banana Republic & JCrew... and can't find one! Anyone have a khaki suit-spotting lately?
Found this thread and thought it might be helpful!

I think we have finally settled on a photographer and found it frustrating at first because of the conflicting information....So from everything I was told by my TA and the Karisma WC you can either bring someone with or you can pay $500 to use a photographer from Mexico and both would be ok as far as the resort was concerned. We chose to bring someone from Phoenix but you can use someone from the area....hope that helps:)

Regardless where the photographer comes from, if it isn't one of their listed photographers you have to pay the outside vendor fee of $500 OR a 3 night stay for them. So if you hire someone in Mexico, obviously you wouldn't be having them stay at the resort and you'd pay the $500 fee. This is true for every vendor, DJ, florist, makeup artist you name it. Of course you can always find loopholes wink.gif

Yeah but it's not that great unless you find a photographer who is willing to stay at least 3 nights and include travel in the package, which is what I was lucky enough to find with Artistique Photographie who are a lovely husband-wife photographer team and were willing to turn this into a mini vacation. See my previous post from today....

I am super excited and very stressed at the moment. I still don't even have my vows written! We are having a legal ceremony, so we can't change what is said, but we want to say something personal to each other...I better get on that!!

I booked my photographer before they no longer allowed mexican photographers...I'm not exactly sure what the policy is now. I just know that you need to pay $500 if you don't use their photographer. I luckily got out of that fee...

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
