Sorry I've been MIA recently girls - just keeping busy!

Maybe you girls can help- my FI and I are looking for his suit. We're looking for a nice khaki suit (I am picturing him wearing it with a linen-type white shirt, top two buttons unbuttoned..). We have been to Nordstrom, Macy's, Bloomies, Banana Republic & JCrew... and can't find one! Anyone have a khaki suit-spotting lately?

Do you mind me asking how long it took for her to produce your order from the time you submitted it? Also, how did the travel/transport to AS from Cali go for your flowers and how did you pack them?
You're welcome! I suggest you contact her and ask her questions, she always answered my emails in a timely manner as was very helpful with all the questions I had. I ordered my flowers in September and received them mide February. She is so busy that you need to give lots of time for Real Touch. You can find out how far out she is booked out to give you an idea of when to order if you ask her.

Yeah there were some candles on the table, definitely plenty of room for candles.

Pretty! Love the colors and the lillies, those should go great with either bronze or white blume boxes, good choice!

I have a good friend who (I did bullets cause it was wayyyy too long):
- took my original wedding date
- asked me to be in her wedding
- refused my request when I asked her to be in mine
- told me that since mine is a month after hers, she has to "see if they have money left" after theirs is over to come to mine
- chose a dress and shoes for us that total almost $500
- chose a honeymoon location that required plane tix that were $4000 (just airfare)
- cancelled that honeymoon because she needed more money to spend on the wedding (although everything was already planned and money was already alotted)
- called and asked for my TA's info NOT for info on how much travel was for our wedding, but for recommendations on placed to go for her honeymoon
- just got her mortgage reduced over $1k/month (approx cost for her and her FI to come to my wedding = $1600)
- and constantly says she's poor!!

Wow, you are a nice person! I would have let a few things go but may have jumped this ship part way through. Lindz is right what she said and I declined two other weddings weeks before mine but these were mere acquaintenances. If I was in someone's wedding that declined to be in mine, I don't know how I'd take that. That's a little selfish... not only are you spending the money and making the effort for her while planning your wedding she's not doing the same for you, lopsided indeed. Good luck!

I think I'm doing pretty good! I need to remember what they are, mine need to be completed by Thursday so I need to update you by then!

I plan to get married there September 2011. Ive booked the hotel but im still undecided which wedding package to choose (silver or gold) so havent got my wedding day yet. Is the gold package worth the extra money, or should i just go for the silver and add extras?

Thanks

Natalie

I don't have my dress and haven't even window shopped yet because I wanted to lose some weight first! I was going to wait until August to start looking because by then I figured I would have dropped at least 10 pounds. I've been really unhappy with my weight lately and didn't want to become depressed while having fittings. monkey.gif Do you think waiting is a bad idea?

I would LOVE to try on dresses but I'm being really vain right now and don't want to try them on until I lose some weight. I was giving myself until August to drop the initial pounds for a proper fitting. Do you think this is a bad idea?
I'm in the EXACT same position. I'm kinda still trying to hold off for another month or so to get back to my "goal" weight. Hahah - at least one that I'm comfortable with enough not to feel like I'm having a miserable experience when I go to try them on. smile35.gif

I'm hoping that I don't regret this down the road... I know, as these ladies have mentioned, that it can take a long time to get the dresses completed etc. smile41.gif Well, I will get going on it soon I think....

Hi girls, I am waiting to do my final wedding review until I get my pro pics back, but wanted to post my flower pictures for everyone. I googled a lot of flowers and also used the sticky note link regarding what flowers were in season in Mexico. I was very happy with the flowers; they were a superb quality and for the cost, I thought a great deal!

Bridal bouquet:

Orange & Pink lilies & roses - $50 additional (b/c size was 16" diameter)

Bridesmaids Bouquets - $50 for each - yellow, purple, orange & pink lilies and daises (they added tons of yellow roses too which were pretty)

Centerpieces - $50 each

Inspiration Picture given was:

Aisle decor - Tall glass vases of Gladiolas - $43 each - moved from canopy to in front of the DJ table

Groom boutonniere - $25 - option was shown to us from Lomas in their binder at our pre wedding meeting.

Sorry I dont have a close up of his flower really - but he loved it and thought it was worth $25. Imagine a guy saying that!! hehe it was cute.

Hope this helps! I think they did a great job of recreating what I sent them.

So, are you able to use photographers from Mexico?? I thought i read somewhere that it was either use one of the places Azul Sensatori recommends or bring someone from the US?? Or, can you use whoever you want but just have to pay the $500 feehuh.gif

YAY on getting your invitations out!!! Can we see them?

I'm with Amy, I have very limited time to finish my To Do's! My big Sam's Club shopping trip is tomorrow, and I'll be spending Thursday and Friday cooking for this thing. I'm so excited, both to go have some fun and for all this to be OOOOOOOOOVER!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
