Don't know if I'm much help on the room blocking stuff. We're going through a local TA here and they arrange a whole package for hotel and air. But we DO have to have at least 10 guests committed right away and deposit $300 each. Then everyone else has about another 20 days to book in at the guaranteed group rate. After that it's availability only etc. So I guess that's the same as booking the rooms directly?

To chose your ceremony setup? I'd do it with your WC offsite now, lock that in and then confirm or change with your onsite coordinator once you get there.

Thanks for the sweet compliment sweetie!!!! I wore 4 different outfits. I get my disc of all my pics tomorrow, so I am sure I will be changing my siggy pic and posting on facebook!

Thank you! Oh man, I don't know what made us both cry, I was crying at the bottom of the stairs, stopped briefly to start my walk, turned the corner, looked at him and he was crying and I burst back into tears, which continued for a little up there and then we both stopped and were fine for the rest of the ceremony until walking back down the aisle. It felt like so much pent up emotion and anxiety and something I'd been looking forward to for such a long time.

Thanks that TTD was so comfortable until I got into the ocean and it weighed like 200lbs after that I swear. The pearls are real and a gift from my Aunt who was in Shanghai earlier this year. My photographer couldn't believe I was gonna do a TTD with them in the ocean smile41.gif

Oh girls!! As a result of all of your good thoughts and prayers and whatever else you were sending my way, my photog has definitely redeemed herself. Passports order, pictures and garmin sent! They will arrive tomorrow! WHEW!!!!!!!!!!! SUCH a relief. This week has been HELL and on top of all that photo drama....

Maggie...just FYI...don't be surprised if people don't book right off the bat, no matter how persuasive you are cheer2.gif I sent out my invitations a few months ago with a very nicely worded (if I do say so myself) instruction sheet that explained the importance of booking early because of the resort's size. Four months later...I only have four rooms booked, and it's all my immediate family. We still have plenty of time so I'm not freaking out, but once October rolls around and we STILL don't have any bookings, I might have a hissy fit. I'm hoping peeps book before then, though.

So just wanted to let you know that it's totally normal if people don't go right out and book (GingerLover is an exception to the rule!) so don't panic cheesy.gif

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010.
