Azul Sensatori Brides - POST HERE!

Recommended Posts

Bigboponthebeach & MaggieandJay we might ALL be there together!! Right now we have our ceremony on hold for May 27, 2011. We've been waiting for almost 3 days to find out if we can have the reception at the Plaza Zavaz. AAHHHH!! I'm going nuts with the waiting. Gonna try to work on that ticker now (hopefully I won't have to change the date after we hear back about the reception).

It would be so wonderful to meet you both when/if we're all there together. I love the idea of a group pic!

Kittenheart you can help me with all the planning and suggestions you've got. I can use all the help I can get. :-)

My colors are burnt orange and I don't know our accent colors yet. I know my theme will be starfish because I love them so. Orange is the FI's favorite color and I found my BM's dresses in that color and knew it was meant to be. :-)
Hey girl! That sounds awesome! We went with blues but really I am only using colors for the chairs and whatever we get married under. I don't have BM so I didn't have to worry about colors so much.
Here are the invitiations I am looking at Come to Mexico - Wedding Invitations by Invitation Consultants. (Item # CC-BBAT688-45-ME )
I am waiting for my travel agent to get back from vacation (Ironic I know) so that I can firm up that date!

Ladies, Just for my own peace of mind. (Forgive me it is one of those stressful days) To the brides who have been to the resort. The resort was wonderful right? I have some friends that sent me emails about all the bad reviews on Trip Advisor even thought there are tons of GREAT ones as well. They want to know if the beach is d"dissapointing" I just need a little encouragement today that I picked the right place. Thanks ladies

Hey girl! I have never been to the resort, but from the brides that have gotten married there, all I have heard is FABULOUS reviews!!!!!!! I would take trip advisor with a grain of salt. A lot of the bad reviews came from when the resort had just opened. And if you look at some of those reviews, they are plain ridiculous...or they had a bad weather experience and blamed everything else. Even the resorts that are listed as the top resort in different areas, have bad reviews. I think some people just can't be pleased. I would listen carefully to the girls that have recently gotten married there. I think all of them had a pretty close to a perfect experience. I know exactly how you feel though...I think it is all part of the destination wedding experience. I have had my resort booked since October and still have 2nd thoughts at times about even getting married in Mexico. I think it's natural! keep your head up and know you have chosen a super fabulous resort!!! We're here for ya!cheer2.gif

I'd love to meet up with you all if we are all there within the same period! I'm sure it will all work out for you. There are WAY too many nice resorts in that area to worry! :-) And you girls are WAY ahead of me with the planning! I figured we would just wait until we got there to decide upon a reception site. I really had my heart on having a reception on the beach, but the previous brides have mentioned it being very windy on the beach in the evenings. I've got my positive mojo out there though.....;-)

Yes, you've got to go with what you like! I had to have BM's because I'm a total tomboy and needed my girls to help me pull this off! I have 2 of them that are really artsy and feminine and I knew they'd keep me sane. :-) If either of us end up doing OOT bags and there are costs on items we both like that can be split to get a lower price, I'd be happy to chat with you about it as we star eyeing items.

You're invites are very classy and I like them! You are ahead of me in that arena because I haven't even ordered or sent out my STD's. My deadline in July 1st, which is a month later than I planned to have them out. But I just can't decide on making them or buying them and at this point I think I won't have much of a choice other than to buy them. :-)

I had similar concerns after we booked. I came on ihere and then I read tripadvisor and I was sooooo bummed out! The ladies on here, especially Lindz and Taylor, have stated not to worry and have been reassuring that in all there convos with previous brides, all were pleased! :-) I have read different accounts of walking to the left or the right of the AS and being able to enjoy pristine beaches......but at this point I'm just relying on faith! :-) I have heard that there is coral and slight rocks, but that they take good care of making sure your ceremony site is beautiful! I will say that I have read from post #1 to present and none of the brides have come back and reported any regrets with their selection of AS. Hope that helps ya...... :-)

We did the wedding on the beach, and splurged and got the Premium Deluxe Package, because I love flowers :) Here is an image of the gazebo:

And here is the set-up for the reception. Since we had the premium deluxe, it was supposed to come with four large baskets of flowers. Our on-site wedding coordinator (who was fabulous!) switched those out for the tall glass vases and then we were able to use the flowers on top as the centerpieces for the reception site, which was great because we were originally just going to use the bouquets.

Ladies, do not stress! The wedding coordinators on-site are AMAZING, and do everything to make your day absolutely perfect. smile159.gif

Amy, I am so glad you had an awesome wedding also! I was thinking about you on Saturday, and was really happy the weather was great for you also! Can't wait to see more pics!!
Welcome Back! You look gorgeous!!! I am sooo happy to hear everything went great! I love your flowers. I wish I had the money in my budget to spurge on the flowers sad.gif More pictures, please.

When did you meet with your onsite WC? On the first day? How many meetings/how long did you have to meet with the WC to get all the details sort out?

I am still so nervous about the wedding. Too many things to do and I am just not sure when I can call it I am done...

Looking forward to seeing more of your pictures and comments!

Amy, I LOVE your bouquet (as well as the other photos you posted)....was it an upgrade and if so do you mind me asking how much? I'm pricing out real touch vs. Lomas flowers at this point. Beautiful pics!!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
