Ok so I think i might just flip a coin since both Tiffany and Celcia have pros and cons. I guess it is hitting me that I have finally picked a resort and I am about to start the process plus move it up a year. EXCITING and NERVE Racking! I ill let you ladies know how it goes! Hi girls! I'm baaaacccckkkkkkkk!!!

 

Its late and I should unpack and get to sleep but wanted to say hi and let you know I had the most beautiful, fun, amazing wedding!

 

I am sure you had a beautiful perfect day Renee too! Friday was gorgeous weather as well. We snuck down to AS on Monday but I could not hear any Texas accents - was looking for you :-)

 

I will tell you all more later, but my guests who were going to get bumped to AS Fri-Sun b/c Beach was booked were able to stay at Azul Beach all weekend after all - I was so excited! I found out during my wedding why.... There was a onlooker in a bikini sobbing during my entire ceremony and family pictures, and bridal prty pictures on the beach with a friend consoling her. Seriously for an entire hour. Turns out she was supposed to get married that weekend - called off the wedding - and her family still went as vacation. And she sobbed in a bikini and towel 50 feet from my ceremony and pictures!!!

 

Even with the crazy crying girl, I was still so thankful no one has to move to another hotel.

 

Will start working on some photos to post soon. I have to do my planning thread and review as well.

 

The flowers though - were AMAZING. Prettiest wedding flowers I have ever seen. wow wow wow

Sorry you had a psycho with no manners who couldn't pull it together. While that sounds really sad, I can guarantee you one of my BM's would have asked her, "Do you mind?" :-) I've got two BM's that are really fiesty! :-) (Hope that made you smile!)

Sara, I have pictures of both set ups - a girl got married in the gazebo while I was down there and I used the canopy. Both were nice but its hard to see in the gazebo so if you are having a wedding party of more than a maid of honor and best man you will probably have to do what Wendy did on the pavement or the canopy. I also took a good picture of the lobby where the "rainy day" wedding location is and I think its gorgeous. You'd probably have less on lookers as well there but its not on the beach. Anyways, I'll post them in the next few days.

Oh yeah - I would only think about STDs, invitations, and your dress until you are 6 months out. We could have planned the entire wedding including 3 excursions once down there. I know you don't want to do that - but at least let it reassure you that they only need pictures of flowers you want and table set ups and DJ play lists like 3 days in advance.

Yeah - I felt bad for the girl, but come on, you do not stand and sob at someone's wedding. Bad form dude.



Meghan & any upcoming brides - not sure if you are planning on buying wine - but I totally regret not just using the house wine at our reception. The wine we bought ran out so fast (8 bottles red and 8 of white) and no one even realized they were drinking good stuff! The house wines are good for the white and pretty good red.

That is absolutely terrible about that girl sobbing during your entire wedding. I can't believe someone didn't respectfully ask her to keep her distance. I mean, really??!!

There are two types of insurance. Travel insurance and wedding insurance. We just got the travel insurance and paid $131 each. That was for hotel and air. If we just got the hotel part it would have been much cheaper. We could have canceled our trip at any time and gotten a refund on all our travel related costs (hotel, air, transport, etc). We didn't get wedding insurance but we considered it.
