Hello,

 

I haven't contributed much since joining but I just wanted to let you girls know that I have officially booked Azul Beach for March 26th 2011. Its going to be a big wedding and we got clearance prior to booking but the fiance and I just fell in love with the intimatness (I think I made that word up) during our site visit.

 

So far we have 34 rooms booked in about 3 weeks! I think I put the fear of god into my guests that the hotel was going to sell out if they didn't.

 

But I must say that reading through everyone's planning journals, reviews, etc has been amazing! Really helpful!

 

I am trying to get on the planning wagon now since we are 10 months our and i still don't have a dress but I am so excited!

Woo hoo another AB bride!! I'm so excited for you. And WTG getting 34 rooms booked! I tried to put the fear into my guests, but still only have 5 rooms booked (FI's parents still haven't even booked!)

Meredith - Multi-quoting is easy, just click MQ on the bottom of the post instead of Quote and click MQ on all the ones you want to respond to then click quote when you're ready!

 

Wendy - I totally thought of you when I was typing about the Mrs. Club, I was like... "I think Wendy will know what I'm talking about" haha, so nice to know I'm not the only cheesy one here LOL!

 

Lindz - I know I already BBM'd you my love of your engagement photos but the one in your siggy makes me feel so happy and warm inside, it's so obvious you two are so in love, I love pictures like that <3

Oh and Lindz regarding the BD book... my FI didn't really get it when I was telling him about it too. It doesn't matter, when he sees your hot photos, there will be ZERO confusion on the subject

 

I was hanging out with one of FI's groomsmen and my MOH on Saturday night and he was telling me that after Daylen was delivered his book by my Matron of Honor, she took him outside on the patio to look at it, he ran back inside to the boys and say... that book is the most AMAZING thing I've ever seen and you'll never see it... but it's incredible! He said he was just glowing, I love it

An official to another AB bride!! We went there site unseen for our wedding but the intimacy of the resort is exactly what we'd hoped for. I too am seriously impressed that you have 34 rooms booked this far out. It's good you're putting the fear of God in them because the resort WILL sell out. Note to self, when we go back for our anniversary stay, don't make it during your wedding or we won't be able to get a room!

I am sure your FI will love the pics! Don't get discouraged. I'm not sure about your FI, but mine is soooo uninterested in everything until he sees it or it's done without him. Then he gets on the bandwagon. Like you said, he just doesn't understand it all, yet.


UGH this is sooooo sad!!! I am SO sorry!!! I was having a bad day about the wedding bawling my eyes out...then I felt guilty. So I know how you feel, but it is STILL you wedding and STILL important. It's all relative...

I am definitely open to all the help I can get. I am actually interested in boarding pass invites and possibly doing a passport type welcome book (if I still feel ambitious). I know you are busy with your own planning though so I feel bad taking time away from that. I'll email you, maybe I can assist you in something you may need too.

That's what I meant, the pool deck. Is that different from Plaza Zavaz? My WC made it seem like they were in the same location.

What have you been doing here in N.O.? Need any recs for restaurants? Lindz may actually be better at recommending places than me though. I had never been to the places she went when she came last month.
