Yeah, she really did a phenomenal job, didn't she?! I know I've heard this mentioned on here before, but you (AmyKH) should really consider wedding planning as a career! My guess is all the brides on here are secretly drooling and wish they had the wherewithal to plan a wedding like this!

I am going to call her this morning and beg her to help. Uggh this is so annyoning. Thanks for all of the good advice though.
Really, your DW.com TA won't help you with the flights? That's their job! Maybe you should change TA's? We used DW.com and our TA was more than willing to book people's flights or help them if needed (even if they didn't book through her). After all, it's $$ in their pocket!

Thank you Wendy! I spent SO much time and put my blood, sweat and tears into this wedding. I'm totally an all or nothing girl so it was literally between this or elope. Eloping would have been easier... LOL :)

I could plan someone else's wedding easier though, maybe I'll stay in Mexico and drag my 5 suitcases around with me and making my living out there :)

Yeah, please stay for 3 weeks extra and drag your suitcases down the road to Azul beach and help me! I wish I would have had professional printers make all my tags and stuff. I am so not detailed orientated and everything has jagged edges, and glue squidges on it.

How are you decorating the Sky Deck? Are you have the chuppah thingy? What about other decor?

I also want to make a door sign for our door being the wedding couple. Anyone have any ideas for that?

I would LOVE to Amy, seriously!

Girl Kinkos is where it's at! They should know FI and me by now, we held up quite a long line one Sunday where there was only one guy working :)

Oh and the best purchase I made was a Fiskars cutter, it's one that has all sorts of measurements and you zip a rotary blade up and down and BAM, clean beautiful edges. I also live in craft stores. There are the coolest glues now, little dots, love em, not wet, sticky as hell, wonderful.

Door sign, hmmm do you have publisher? You can also buy a blank door sign or probably download a free one and put whatever you want on it. There are SO many free download on the internet it's not even funny, my doorsign was a free download, same with my moustache signs, I just combined them and put some popsicle stick like wood on the back to keep them upright.

That reminds me... I forgot some stuff on my planning thread, haha whoops!

OMG the mustaches were so hilarious. I am going up to Boston in 2 weeks and could get some of those glue dots. I use the paper cutter at work - its OK, I am just not patient enough for perfection wink.gif I had Publisher on my computer at my last company, but not here. I guess I could make one in Word and have it printed on cardstock.... I'll do that!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
